Alannah Keyser walked into the Love Island USA villa on Sunday night, 21 June, as one of the newest Casa Amor bombshells, instantly adding fresh energy to the series.
The 21-year-old University of Southern California film school student was introduced as part of the latest twist in the dating experiment, but her arrival quickly took a very different turn online. Within hours, social media users began circulating old posts and a resurfaced video allegedly linked to Keyser, shifting attention away from romance and straight into controversy.
A supposed classic bombshell entrance has now ended up being one of the season's most viral moments so far. As clips and screenshots spread across X and TikTok, discussions about her past behaviour have intensified, putting both the contestant and the show under a renewed spotlight.
Resurfaced Snapchat Video Sparks Online Outrage
Shortly after her debut episode aired, a resurfaced Snapchat video allegedly showed Keyser singing along to Roddy Ricch's The Box, a track that includes the N-word in its lyrics. Alongside this, screenshots circulating online reportedly showed past conversations attributed to her where the same racial slur was used.
The use of the N-word is widely regarded as racist due to its historical ties to slavery, segregation, and systemic discrimination against Black people. While it has been reclaimed in some contexts within Black communities, its use outside of those contexts is still considered deeply offensive and harmful.
The posts have not been independently verified in full, but they have become central to the ongoing backlash online.
@USC @USCFilmOffice were you aware that you’ve allowed a racist student by the name of Alannah Keyser with a documented digital footprint that’s currently being platformed by @loveislandusa into your institution of higher learning and filmography? #LoveIslandUSA #USC pic.twitter.com/gUd4V79Vmm

Villa Clip Adds Fuel to the Debate
Attention soon turned to one particular on-screen moment in the villa.
Clips shared widely on social media showed Keyser kissing several male Islanders. However, some users pointed out she did not engage in the same way with Black contestants during the task.
One viral post on X claimed: 'This literally being alannah refusing to kiss the black guys during the challenge so her saying the n word [is] not surprising.'
The clip has been repeatedly reshared, fuelling debate about whether the moment reflects personal preference or something more.

Social Media Reacts Over Racist Allegations
Viewer response has been split across platforms.
Many have called on Love Island USA producers to remove Keyser from the show, arguing that reality TV should act quickly when resurfaced content involves racial slurs. On its official Instagram account, a user commented: 'Alannah better be off by the next episode.'
Others have also directed criticism at the University of Southern California, questioning how the situation reflects on its student vetting process. An X user posted: '@USC @USCFilmOffice were you aware that you've allowed a racist student ... into your institution of higher learning and filmography?'
At the same time, some users have defended Keyser, suggesting the Snapchat clip may have been taken out of context as her simply singing along to a song. Others have also argued that her behaviour in the villa reflects normal dating preferences and should not be overanalysed based on edited footage.
Alannah is a sweet girl, her dad is our best friend for the past 20 years and we know her really well. The video is taking out of context of course, it’s a song where there entire group of people where singing, she didn’t mean any of it!

Will the Show Take Action on Keyser?
Despite the backlash, neither Love Island USA nor its production team has confirmed whether Keyser remains in the villa or will face any disciplinary action. The show has previously taken action in response to similar controversies, but no official update has been issued in this case.
With social media debate still escalating, viewers are closely watching how producers respond.
For now, Alannah Keyser remains at the centre of one of the season's most discussed storylines, as fans continue to call for clarity, accountability, and answers about what happens next inside the villa.
