Model and digital creator Alexandria Morgan has accused Victoria's Secret of years of physical, emotional and sexual abuse against models, alleging that the brand took advantage of young women, particularly those from other countries.
In a statement criticising the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, Morgan claimed that some of her friends and colleagues had experienced serious mistreatment, including alleged trafficking and sexual coercion. Her allegations have not been independently verified, and her account does not establish that Victoria's Secret was responsible for the alleged incidents.
Explosive Allegations
Morgan opened her statement with a profane condemnation of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, accusing the brand of attempting a 'redemption arc' after struggling to attract ratings. She alleged that the company had spent years 'physically, emotionally, and sexually abusing models', although her statement does not independently establish the extent of the alleged misconduct or whether it was directed or sanctioned by company leadership.
The model said she had never appeared in the show, suggesting that her body type and lack of celebrity connections had affected her opportunities. 'While I never made the show, as my thighs touch and that just wouldn't be allowed as a non nepo baby,' she wrote, adding that her brief interactions with the company as a fit model were 'nothing compared to the horrors' she said her friends and colleagues had experienced.
Among her most serious allegations, Morgan claimed that girls had been 'trafficked to a certain island' or forced to perform oral sex at Socialista or another exclusive club. She did not identify the island or name the individuals allegedly involved, and her statement does not establish when the alleged incidents occurred or who was responsible. She also did not establish a direct connection between the alleged trafficking or sexual coercion and Victoria's Secret.
Tezenis Accusations and Emily DiDonato
Morgan also criticised Italian lingerie brand Tezenis, which she described as the European equivalent of Victoria's Secret. She said the photographs accompanying her statement came from her modelling work for Tezenis, part of the Calzedonia Group, and alleged that staff mocked model Emily DiDonato while editing DiDonato's photographs during Morgan's own shoot.
According to Morgan, staff called DiDonato 'fat', a description Morgan believed was unwarranted. The allegation has not been independently corroborated in the material available for this article. Morgan also speculated that staff had made similar remarks about her own photographs when showing them to another model, but she provided no evidence confirming that those comments had been made.
Criticising the Modelling Industry
Morgan argued that young women from other countries could be particularly vulnerable to exploitation in the modelling industry. Expressing regret at having helped glamorise the business, she wrote that she would model again when the 'poison' she believed remained in the industry had gone.
Her statement raises questions about body-image expectations, modelling opportunities and the power imbalance between aspiring models and established fashion businesses. Separate allegations about the treatment of models in the fashion industry have previously been reported, including experiences described by former Victoria's Secret models. However, it should be noted that those accounts do not verify Morgan's specific claims about trafficking, Socialista or the alleged comments concerning DiDonato. Until further evidence emerges, Morgan's claims should remain as allegations.
