Channing Tatum has dismissed a bizarre social media theory claiming he secretly ran an Instagram burner account to take shots at his former fiancée Zoë Kravitz and her fiancé Harry Styles. The speculation exploded after users spotted an anonymous account called 'Nonya Bidness' leaving pointed comments beneath posts about Kravitz and Styles.
What really fuelled the theory was the account's apparent follower list: Tatum's verified Instagram account appeared to be its only follower. But after the rumours spread, the actor stepped in with a blunt response, insisting he has only one Instagram account.

Tatum addressed the speculation on his Instagram Stories on 21 September, appearing incredulous that social media users thought he would spend his free time secretly trolling his ex.
'Yo I truly can't believe y'all think this is what I'm doing with my free time,' the 46-year-old actor wrote, before adding: 'F--kin hilarious.'
He then questioned the theory's biggest apparent clue: why would he publicly follow a burner account if he wanted to hide his identity?
'Also, why would I follow a burner account if I didn't want people to connect me to it?' he wrote. 'Wtf, come on.'
Tatum made his position even clearer, writing: 'If I really need to say it, I only have one IG account, @channingtatum.'
Why Fans Thought the Account Was His
The 'Nonya Bidness' account became a social media talking point after it posted comments about Kravitz and Styles, who became engaged in April 2026 after beginning their relationship in 2025.
One comment reportedly appeared beneath a post featuring the couple and read: 'Just here for the hate.' Other posts were more personal, including remarks that appeared to reference Tatum's past relationship with Kravitz.
In another comment, the account reportedly revisited Tatum's earlier description of Kravitz as an 'intentional' person, suggesting the word could also mean 'calculated'. The account also appeared to praise Tatum in separate comments, describing him as genuine and funny.
Those posts, combined with Tatum's apparent connection to the account, were enough to send online sleuths into overdrive.
But there is an important caveat: there is no independent evidence establishing that Tatum operated the account.
The Burner Account Has Disappeared
The mystery became even more intriguing when the account reportedly went inactive after the speculation gathered pace. Reports also said Tatum's verified account subsequently unfollowed it.
Other online theories have offered a possible alternative explanation, with some suggesting the page may previously have been a Tatum fan account before changing its username or focus. A separate report also highlighted activity that appeared inconsistent with Tatum being behind it.
In other words, the apparent digital trail may have looked suspicious, but it does not prove who was behind the account.
Why Zoë Kravitz and Harry Styles Are at the Centre of It
The speculation has inevitably drawn attention to Tatum's history with Kravitz. The pair began dating in 2021 after working together on Kravitz's directorial debut, Blink Twice, became engaged in 2023 and ended their relationship in October 2024.
Kravitz later began dating Styles, with the pair first sparking romance rumours in August 2025. Their relationship became public through a series of sightings before their engagement was reported in April 2026.
That history explains why comments about Kravitz and Styles were particularly likely to attract attention when they appeared to come from an account connected to Tatum.
For now, however, the supposed Hollywood Instagram mystery remains exactly that—a mystery.
Tatum has denied being behind the account, the profile has disappeared, and no evidence has emerged publicly proving he operated it. His message to the internet is considerably simpler: if fans want to find Channing Tatum on Instagram, he says there is only one account to look for.
