Shannon Elizabeth has made one thing very clear following her divorce: she has no intention of getting back into the dating game anytime soon. The American Pie star, who became single after her divorce from Simon Borchert was finalised in May 2026, says she is perfectly content without a romantic partner.
Instead, Elizabeth is embracing a very different kind of connection through OnlyFans, where she has found both a lucrative new career opportunity and a community she enjoys interacting with. During an appearance on Bill Maher's Club Random podcast, she went as far as saying the relationships she is building on the platform are all she needs right now.
Shannon Elizabeth Has No Plans To Date Again
Elizabeth was asked about the dating scene in Cape Town, where she has lived since moving to South Africa in 2016 to focus on wildlife conservation.
Her response was unusually definitive.
'I'm very newly single, and I don't plan on ever dating again, to be honest,' she told Maher.
The presenter was not convinced and immediately challenged her, insisting that she would eventually date again. But Elizabeth doubled down, making it clear that romance is simply not something she wants at this stage of her life.
'I do not want to date,' she said. 'I'm not interested. There's too many con artists out there. There are too many people I don't trust. I have no interest.'
Maher pointed out that other celebrities have made similar declarations after break-ups and later changed their minds, but Elizabeth remained firm.
'At the moment, I'm perfectly fine not being with anyone and not wanting anything,' she said.
OnlyFans Has Become Her New Relationship
Rather than looking for another partner, Elizabeth has poured her energy into OnlyFans, describing the relationships she has formed with subscribers as a major part of her new life.
'The only relationships I need are the relationships on OnlyFans that I'm building with all of these people,' she said.
That comment is particularly revealing because Elizabeth has described the platform as far more than a financial venture. She joined OnlyFans in April during a period when she was also navigating the end of her marriage and reassessing her career.
Her account proved to be an immediate success. Variety reported that she earned more than $1.2 million, roughly £930,000, in her first week on the platform.
For Elizabeth, however, the significance of that success goes beyond the headline figure.
The Financial Freedom Has Changed Her Career
Elizabeth previously told a news media outlet that she had spent much of the previous decade living largely from her savings because she had not been as focused on work.
The OnlyFans income has given her breathing room at a time when acting opportunities have become less frequent.
'To be able to get myself back to the point where I'm not struggling and can choose projects because I like them and not because I need the money—it's definitely giving me more freedom to do that,' she said.
That distinction is important. Elizabeth is not simply using OnlyFans as a way to make money between acting jobs. She is using the success of the platform to regain control over the kind of work she wants to pursue.
Elizabeth Is Still Exploring Her Creative Boundaries
Elizabeth also remains closely involved in producing her OnlyFans content. She currently does not include nudity and has said she is still working out what boundaries feel right for her.
'I've got to be a little bit mysterious,' she said. 'I do all kinds of content, but I don't even know what my boundaries will be. I'm still exploring it, and as I become more comfortable with it, I'm going to push those boundaries.'
She has also expressed ambitions to direct and work behind the camera, making the platform another outlet for her creative interests.
A portion of her OnlyFans earnings also goes towards her wildlife conservation nonprofit, the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation, reflecting another major part of her life away from Hollywood.
A Very Different Chapter After 'American Pie'
Elizabeth rose to fame as Nadia in the 1999 comedy American Pie before appearing in films including Scary Movie and Thir13en Ghosts. Her career later took her in a different direction as she became increasingly involved in wildlife conservation in South Africa.
Now, following her divorce, the actress appears to be entering another new phase—one built around financial independence, creative control and a community she has found through OnlyFans.
She has even encouraged other actresses considering the platform to give it a chance.
'Absolutely do it,' Elizabeth said. 'It's been an incredible experience. And if you don't like it, you just stop. That's the beauty of it. The control's in your hands.'
Whether she eventually changes her mind about dating remains to be seen. For now, though, Elizabeth is adamant that she is happier without romance—and is more than satisfied with the unconventional relationships she has built instead.
