Jenna Ortega has found herself at the centre of another appearance debate, except this one comes with a rather important problem: the photos fuelling speculation about an alleged 'new' boob job are roughly 16 months old.
Resurfaced pictures of the Wednesday actress recently racked up 6,900 upvotes on Reddit, where users immediately began asking whether something looked different. While most of the comments focused on how healthy and beautiful she looked, others were determined to prove she had gone under the knife.
'New breasts, who dis?' one commenter wrote.
'Did she get fakes installed?' another asked, while someone else simply replied: 'Bolt-ons.'
Before anyone books an appointment with Reddit's entirely unlicensed plastic surgery department, however, other users brought out the receipts.
Jenna Ortega's Dior Dress Has Reddit Doing Double Takes
The photos were taken at the New York premiere of Hurry Up Tomorrow on 13 May 2025, where Ortega wore John Galliano's archival newspaper-print Dior dress.
The fitted autumn/winter 2000 design, famously worn by Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, features a draped neckline that adds volume around the bust. While the design of the iconic dress obviously enhanced the chest area, why would that stop the theories brewing online?
'Something looks different,' one Redditor observed, while another wrote: 'My, Jenna, you've enhanced yourself.'
Others questioned whether the images were AI-generated. The original poster disagreed, suggesting: 'Its a real photo, i just think its the dress that makes them look like that.'
Another commenter similarly suggested that padding or the cowl neckline could be responsible for the apparent volume. There is no confirmation from Ortega that she has undergone breast augmentation, meaning the boob job claims remain online speculation.
Fans Realise the Photos Are From 2025
Eventually, Reddit's investigation encountered its greatest adversary: the calendar.
'These photos are from May 2025,' one user pointed out.
Another correctly identified them as photographs from the Hurry Up Tomorrow premiere, while someone else simply wrote: 'It's old.'
The timeline is quite relevant given that Ortega's appearance has already faced scrutiny recently. Last month, another Reddit discussion attracted thousands of votes as users expressed concern over her apparent weight loss. That conversation followed her into the resurfaced photos.
'Are these older pics? She looks so skinny in her current ones,' one person wrote, while another claimed Ortega 'looked healthier here'.
Some commenters speculated about weight-loss medication, because according to the ridiculous online trends, when an artist loses weight nowadays the explanation must be 'Ozempic', the internet's new favourite word. Another hypotheses covered eating disorders and cosmetic procedures. It is worth noting that of those theories establish anything about Ortega's health, medication use or medical history.
On the other hand, they do illustrate how quickly celebrity bodies become public investigations. One photograph can apparently become evidence of extreme weight loss and another of an alleged boob job, even when the amateur detectives are working with a 16-month-old case file.
For now, the only enhancement these pictures definitively confirm is a little vintage Dior and a lot of Carrie Bradshaw nostalgia.
