The seven-time Formula One world champion brought fashion-forward energy to the French Riviera, and Kim Kardashian was there to see every second of it.
Monaco has always been more of a fashion event than a motor race. The harbour is lined with superyachts, the paddock is a runway of its own, and the guests read like a Vogue masthead. But even by those gilded standards, Lewis Hamilton's 2026 Monaco Grand Prix weekend managed to generate its own kind of spectacle, with a glittery pink helmet and a very famous girlfriend stealing the conversation away from the cars entirely.
Hamilton's Sparkly Pink Helmet Divides the Internet
Hamilton arrived for practice at the Monte Carlo street circuit sporting a brand-new metallic pink sparkly helmet, prompting an immediate divided reaction from Formula 1 fans. The lid was a deliberate departure from anything he had worn in recent memory.
Since his new chapter with Ferrari in 2025, Hamilton has embraced his signature neon yellow design while incorporating the iconic Scuderia red. For the Monaco event, he switched it up by opting for a stunning magenta base with sparkling metallic glitter flakes that was mesmerising to see on screen.
Fans were quick to weigh in, with one noting that pink actually works well, given that purple, Hamilton's long-standing signature colour, clashes with Ferrari's red. 'His helmet designs have been pretty top-notch since his Ferrari stint began, even if they are the same design just a different colour, such a versatile and great design.' Others were less convinced: 'Sparkly bubblegum isn't really my jam', ran one comment.
Kim Kardashian Makes Her F1 Paddock Debut
Kardashian arrived in the Monaco paddock on Saturday and Sunday, marking her first race appearance since she and Hamilton began dating at the start of this year. From capturing the trackside moments on her own phone to chatting it up with F1 WAG Alexandra Leclerc, Kim did not turn up underdressed.
On Friday, ahead of race weekend, she was spotted on a yacht in Monte Carlo wearing a head-to-toe leather Gucci racing suit and oversize sunglasses. It was a look that made her intentions abundantly clear before the weekend had even properly begun.
In the paddock, she switched to Gucci flared jeans with horsebit-detail pockets, a plunging lace vest top and pointed heels, arriving alongside sister Khloé Kardashian. On race day itself, Kim opted for a cream bodycon gown with an asymmetrical neckline, draped detailing and an open back.
A Podium Finish to Match the Spectacle
Hamilton, for his part, was open about what her presence meant to him. 'It's amazing to have her come this weekend and have the support', he told reporters after the race. 'It's amazing to have good people around you and good people supporting you, and she does that for me every day.'
The F1 driver moved into second place in the Drivers' Championship after finishing runner-up in the race, his highest standing since 2021. After going without a podium finish in his first 24 races for Ferrari last year during a turbulent debut season, he now has three from six starts in 2026.
