Raye famously asked the universe one very specific question: 'Where is my husband?' The answer may have just arrived at Six Flags, wearing overalls while sitting next to her on a rollercoaster.
The British singer and Michael B. Jordan sparked romance rumours after they were spotted together at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles over the weekend. Photos and videos shared by fans showed the pair chatting, laughing, and riding side by side, with Jordan's younger brother, Khalid, reportedly joining them for the outing.
Naturally, the internet did what it does best: skipped several chapters ahead and started planning the wedding.
Honestly, Raye may have accidentally (or very much purposely) written one of the strongest manifestation anthems of modern pop.
'Ah, She Found Her Husband'
Among the thousands of reactions, one Reddit comment cut straight to the obvious joke: 'Ah, she found her husband'.
Another fan declared, 'THERE is her husband,' while someone else took the manifestation angle even further: 'She asked where her husband was. and he responded to the call. Get it girl'.
The Grammy-winning singer has been open about wanting love, even joking earlier this year that songwriting was going into 'silent protest' until the next romantic chapter of her life finally began. She has also told People.com that she wants someone funny, energetic, and capable of getting her out of bed to actually do things. As Raye puts it: 'laughing is my favourite hobby'.
If the candid photos and videos have anything to say about it, the singer was certainly all smiles on that rollercoaster. Laughter is definitely in her future.
A Romance Rumour With Rollercoaster Timing
Jordan, meanwhile, has spoken candidly about relationships and timing in the past.
The Creed actor previously shared in an interview with GQ that he wanted someone who could fit naturally into the flow of his life, while also admitting that meeting the right person at the wrong time can derail something promising.
Whether Six Flags represents particularly good timing remains very much unconfirmed, but fans are already emotionally invested.
'I don't know who I'm more jealous of,' one person joked.
Another went considerably further: 'This would be one of the most attractive couples to ever exist and idk if we as a society can handle that.'
Perhaps society should start stretching those 'handle' muscles now, just in case, because this dating rumour 'may contain hope' for the end of that silent protest.
The Internet Is Manifesting the Ring Already
Raye's 'Where Is My Husband' lyrics inevitably became the soundtrack to the speculation, especially given her famous references to wanting a diamond ring.
One Reddit user playfully asked whether Jordan had been informed that she would like 'a big and shiny diamond' for her wedding finger.
Another simply shouted in all caps: 'YOUR HUSBAND IS COMING!'
Even one particularly optimistic commenter admitted the pair might simply have been filming something, before immediately adding that they would rather assume an engagement was imminent.
For now, there is no confirmation that Raye and Michael B. Jordan are anything more than two people enjoying a day at an amusement park.
Still, after singing 'Where Is My Husband?' into the universe and onto the top of the charts, Raye and Michael B. Jordan hanging out together at Six Flags is exactly the kind of plot twist that manifestation believers will frame as evidence.
Maybe grandma was right after all. Her husband could be coming. He just might have taken the rollercoaster route.
