Rihanna and her daughter, Rocki Irish, have made a striking fashion statement that blurs the line between childhood innocence and haute couture, as the 7-month-old appears on the cover of W Magazine's Pop Issue in a custom Dior haute couture diaper.

It is reportedly a first for the luxury house, according to designer Jonathan Anderson.

Rihanna appeared on the cover of the said magazine dressed head-to-toe in Dior, wearing purple eye shadow, warm orange blush, and a sculptural lilac buccaneer-style hat designed by milliner Stephen Jones.

Despite the bold fashion styling, attention quickly shifted to her 7-month-old daughter, Rocki, who was seen contentedly cradled in her arms throughout the shoot.

The Dior Haute Couture Diaper

According to CNN, Rocki, who has emerged as the unexpected star of this 'Look of the Week', made her public debut in true fashion-forward style, wearing, or at least having chosen for her, a custom Dior haute couture diaper.

'The haute couture diaper is definitely a first for Dior', creative director Jonathan Anderson told W Magazine. 'When Rihanna asks for something, she is already ahead of what is happening. She is thinking outside the box.'

Asking one of fashion's most influential designers to create a bespoke diaper underscores Rihanna's undeniable influence in the luxury space. Anderson, however, appears more amused than surprised, having already designed multiple pieces for the Mayers children, who take their father's surname.

Last summer, he crafted miniature versions of the opening looks from his debut Dior Spring-Summer 2026 menswear collection for Rza and Riot, which the boys wore to the premiere of The Smurfs, in which Rihanna voiced Smurfette.

Rocki is also no stranger to the house of Dior; earlier this month, she was seen in a vintage knitted hat from John Galliano's 2002 collection, further cementing her early entry into archival luxury fashion.

Rihanna's Motherhood Meets High Fashion Across Iconic Covers

The singer's journey as a mother has frequently taken center stage on her magazine covers and in her brand campaigns. She fronted HommeGirls and Vogue US while pregnant, and has transformed photoshoots for her lingerie label Savage x Fenty into intimate family portraits.

Her children, eldest son Rza and now baby Rocki, have both appeared in major fashion magazine spreads before reaching their first birthdays.

Yet despite her expanding family life, Rihanna's distinctive sartorial identity remains unchanged. Her viral Vogue cover shot by Annie Leibovitz in 2022, featuring the star in a lace bustier catsuit, challenged conventional ideas of maternity dressing.

Later, when she introduced Rza to the world on a British Vogue cover in 2023, the opening image showed her walking along a beach in a glittering Chanel gown, while A$AP Rocky held their newborn.

This latest magazine feature continues that trajectory, with the multi-hyphenate mogul once again embracing high-concept fashion storytelling while spotlighting her growing family.

Baby Dior's Royal Roots in Children's Fashion

While haute couture diapers mark new ground, children's wear has long been part of Dior's legacy. Baby Dior was founded in 1967 by Marc Bohan, with its Paris boutique inaugurated by Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco.

Before the line existed, Christian Dior created special occasion looks for clients' children. Bohan continued the tradition, later designing two collections a year and miniature versions of Elizabeth Taylor's pieces for her daughter Liza.
