But there is one big detail missing from the viral post. The video is years old, and evidence of the exact clip can be traced back to September 2021, meaning the new wave of jokes is aimed at an old Sabrina Carpenter post rather than a fresh tease about another record.
Old Album Joke Resurfaces
The resurfaced post has drawn millions of views after being shared on X on Thursday, 24 September 2026. The screenshot shows the repost at 3.7 million views, alongside the caption, 'they were sooo mean to her OMG'.
Much of the attention comes from the replies shown beside Carpenter's original video. One person wrote, 'literally no one has asked that', while another joked, 'u ain't Rihanna tho'.
