While the Hollywood glamour factor was definitely present through an optical illusion hourglass effect, some particularly imaginative Redditors had to do a double take to make sure she didn't show up in a gorgeous swimsuit and a sparkly beach towel.

The 'Opalite' singer completed the look with shimmering strappy heels, Leviev diamond drop earrings, and an Etho Maria diamond ring. The combination sounds like a red-carpet triumph. In photographs, however, there may be a brief internal debate on whether people love or hate this look.

Others were much more enthusiastic. One called it 'the best thing I've seen her wear in a while', while another declared, 'This looks very classy and stylish! I love the black and silver together.'
The shoes also enjoyed something close to bipartisan support in this particular fashion debate. Even commenters who questioned the gown's fabric combination singled out Swift's strappy silver heels for praise. After all, every fashion authority knows that a good pair of shoes can save nearly any outfit from getting ticketed by the fashion police.
