Brianna Johnson, better known online as DreamDoll Brii, was living the kind of life many young creators dream of — building a loyal following, travelling, hosting events and chasing her music ambitions. But the 21-year-old influencer's life was tragically cut short after she was killed in a drive-by shooting in Miramar, Florida.
The rising social media personality was inside a car with two other people when they were followed and attacked in the early hours of 5 July. As police continue searching for those responsible, Johnson's family and fans are remembering a young woman who brought energy, laughter and positivity to those around her.
Inside the Deadly Drive-by Attack
According to Miramar Police, Johnson and two others were travelling in a green Lamborghini SUV when another vehicle followed them at around 5:30 AM. The suspects' car reportedly pulled alongside the Lamborghini before multiple shots were fired, causing Johnson's vehicle to crash into a home nearby.
All three people inside the Lamborghini were reportedly shot. Surveillance footage obtained by local media 7News showed a light-coloured vehicle following the SUV before gunfire erupted and the car sped away.
Investigators believe the attack was targeted and are searching for the vehicle involved.
The shooting came after a night out that reportedly included a large mansion party at a nearby Airbnb. According to Johnson's family, the group later stopped at a Shell gas station, where a fight broke out before the shooting occurred about an hour later.
Authorities have not publicly confirmed details surrounding the altercation or whether it was connected to the attack.
Johnson was taken to hospital along with the two other victims, who were also in critical condition. She later died from her injuries, while police continue investigating the circumstances behind the deadly shooting.

The Influencer Behind the Name DreamDoll Brii
Johnson was a rising influencer who built a strong online following under the name DreamDoll Brii. With around 500,000 followers across TikTok and Instagram, she was known for sharing lifestyle content, travel moments, beauty posts, dance videos and behind-the-scenes glimpses of her life.
Her confident personality and entertaining posts helped her connect with a large audience who followed her journey online.
Outside of influencing, Johnson was also pursuing a career in music. Her mother, Hope Jones, told USA Today that her daughter had been gaining attention as a rapper, performing at local shows and parties around Florida. She said Johnson's music was beginning to attract wider attention, with some celebrities sharing her work.
Johnson was also a student at Florida Atlantic University, where she was preparing to begin her junior year studying sociology. She previously worked at Holy Cross Hospital and hoped to eventually build a career in health administration.
Family Shares Memories of Brianna Johnson
For Johnson's loved ones, she was much more than an influencer. Her family described her as funny, caring and someone who could light up any room.
Her grandmother, Cynthia Johnson, remembered her granddaughter's 'infectious laugh' and said photos of Brianna were often filled with her huge smile and joyful personality. She also described Brianna as someone who chose kindness, even when others had hurt her.
Her mother said Brianna's ability to be herself was what made people connect with her online. She said 'everybody loved her' and that her daughter continued creating content because people appreciated her personality.
Johnson leaves behind three sisters, including one she was especially close with. Her family has since asked for support as they prepare to say goodbye and honour her memory.
