Brooklyn Beckham's latest European holiday has placed him within minutes of his parents while still showing no public sign of a reunion. The 27-year-old Cloud23 founder and his wife, Bates Motel actress Nicola Peltz Beckham, spent 29 July aboard Sir Elton John's yacht near Nice before sharing photos from the musician's villa.
Former England captain David Beckham and fashion designer Victoria Beckham, the former Spice Girls star, were later photographed holidaying separately in Saint-Tropez, where both sides were seen ashore only minutes apart.
The overlap has renewed attention on the Beckham family rift because the relatives were in the same corner of the French Riviera without being pictured together. Brooklyn and Nicola were joined by Elton and his husband, David Furnish, while David and Victoria continued their own yacht trip with members of the wider Beckham family. No public statement has indicated that the near encounter led to a private contact.
Separate Summers on the Riviera
Elton's presence made the holiday especially notable. The 'Your Song' singer is godfather to both Brooklyn and his brother Romeo Beckham and has been a close friend of David and Victoria for years. Furnish confirmed the visit by commenting beneath Brooklyn's holiday photos: 'So lovely having you both to stay with us.'
The couple's posts showed a relaxed weekend extending beyond the yacht. Brooklyn was pictured lying on the grass, while Nicola posed beside Elton and explored the villa's lily pond and tennis courts. Furnish also commented on Nicola's photographs that the group had shared 'such a lovely time' together.
The images delivered a polished Riviera fashion moment. Brooklyn wore a white T-shirt, oversized denim shorts and a backward baseball cap, while Nicola stepped off the yacht in a white lace minidress with nude kitten heels and a printed shoulder bag.
Elton completed the group's relaxed summer look with a patterned shirt, purple shorts and bright magenta glasses.
The separate itineraries follow a series of missed Beckham milestones. Brooklyn and Nicola were absent from Harper Beckham's 15th birthday gathering in Florida in July and from David's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on 12 June.
Days later, Brooklyn publicly celebrated Nicola's brother Will Peltz's wedding, sharing photographs from the event with his wife.
Brooklyn's Public Break
Brooklyn also made allegations connected to his April 2022 wedding in Palm Beach, including claims involving Nicola's planned wedding dress and the couple's first dance. Victoria has not publicly addressed each allegation, but she said in an April interview: 'We love our children so much.' David later declined to discuss the dispute in detail, calling it 'a private matter'.
According to Brooklyn, the wedding disagreements formed part of a much broader breakdown rather than a single family dispute. He alleged that his parents had repeatedly tried to undermine his relationship with Nicola and prioritised the Beckham public image over resolving tensions privately.
His statement transformed years of online speculation into a direct account of estrangement, making clear that the distance between the families remained intentional rather than accidental.
No Public Reunion Yet
Public posts from the Beckham parents have continued to acknowledge Brooklyn despite the estrangement. Victoria included all four children in a Father's Day tribute to David and wrote that his family was his 'greatest achievement'. However, Brooklyn's absence from recent family celebrations and the separate Riviera holidays show that no public reconciliation has taken place.
The latest getaway does not establish what communication may be happening privately. It does, however, put the divide into unusually clear focus: Brooklyn was holidaying with his wife and godfather while his parents were close enough for an accidental encounter, yet the two groups remained apart. Until either side confirms renewed contact, the French holiday remains another visible chapter in the unresolved Beckham family rift.
