Bunnie XO's former husband has revealed how jealousy over her sugar daddies and the heartbreak of losing her continued to haunt him years after their marriage ended, admitting: 'I wanted her all to myself.'
In The Daily Mail candid interview, Francisco 'Frankie' Lombardo reflected on his whirlwind relationship with the Dumb Blonde podcast host, claiming that while he knew about her unconventional lifestyle from the beginning, he struggled to cope with sharing her attention.
Lombardo also made the striking admission that Bunnie remains the only woman who has ever truly broken his heart, saying their split 'destroyed my life in a sense'.
His remarks offer a rare glimpse into Bunnie's life before she found fame alongside husband Jelly Roll, detailing a whirlwind romance that moved at lightning speed before ultimately ending in heartbreak.
The pair first connected on MySpace in 2009 and quickly formed a connection. According to Lombardo, he moved into Bunnie's home just a week after meeting her in person.
Their relationship continued to progress rapidly, and the couple married in Hawaii in February 2010. However, behind the romance, Lombardo admitted there were issues he found difficult to overcome.
'I Wanted Her All to Myself'
While reflecting on the early days of their relationship, Lombardo admitted that one of his biggest challenges was accepting Bunnie's relationships with sugar daddies.
Reports have it that Bunnie was upfront about the arrangement from the start. Lombardo claimed the men financially supported her and lived out of state, meaning they were not regularly involved in her day-to-day life.
Even so, he acknowledged that jealousy became a recurring issue throughout their relationship.
Lombardo also described himself as being 'super jealous', revealing that the situation led to arguments between the couple despite the fact he had entered the relationship fully aware of the circumstances.
His comments suggest that while he initially accepted Bunnie's lifestyle, he struggled emotionally as their relationship became more serious.
The admission offers a rare insight into the insecurities he says he battled during their marriage and why the issue remained a source of tension between them.
Although jealousy played a significant role in their relationship, Lombardo suggested it was not the only factor that contributed to their eventual split.
'Bunnie Was the Only Girl That Broke My Heart'
According to Lombardo, the marriage came under further strain when his parents encountered legal and financial difficulties and moved into the home he shared with Bunnie.
He claimed the change dramatically altered the atmosphere within the household and placed considerable pressure on their relationship.
Looking back on that period, Lombardo said the situation 'totally destroyed our relationship'.
The couple eventually divorced in 2014 after roughly four years of marriage.
However, Lombardo made it clear that the emotional impact of the breakup remained long after the relationship ended.
'She left me for another man, and it destroyed my life in a sense', he told The Sun.
The remark was followed by what may have been his most revealing confession about his former wife.
'Bunnie was the only girl that broke my heart.'
Following their divorce, Bunnie moved on and later married Jelly Roll in 2016. The pair have since become one of country music's most recognisable couples, with Bunnie building a successful career as a podcast host and media personality.
For Lombardo, however, the relationship remains one of the defining chapters of his life.
