SKIMS has poached Supreme veteran Erin Magee after 22 years at the streetwear giant, naming her the brand's first Chief Design Officer in a major fashion shakeup. Magee's appointment comes just days after she announced her departure from Supreme, where she rose to become Chief Creative Officer.

The move brings one of Supreme's longest-serving creative leaders into the next phase of SKIMS' rapid growth. Magee will lead design and creative product direction as Kim Kardashian's brand expands beyond shapewear into more fashion categories and new markets.

Erin Magee Joins SKIMS After 22 Years at Supreme

Magee's move comes after more than two decades at Supreme, a brand she joined in 2004. She worked across creative vision, design, product development and product strategy, helping shape apparel, accessories, collaborations and special projects.

Her long run at Supreme also gave her a front-row view of the brand's growth from a New York skate label into a major name in global streetwear. By 2013, she was Supreme's production manager, where she developed and produced products such as the brand's popular camp caps.

Magee announced her departure from Supreme on Instagram in August. In a short farewell, she wrote, '22 years. ❤️ It has been the honor of a lifetime to be part of the World-Famous Supreme Team'.

She Brings More Than Supreme Experience

Magee's fashion career is not limited to Supreme. In 2007, she launched MadeMe, a women's streetwear label built around individuality, youth culture and a strong female point of view, giving her space to explore ideas different from the men's streetwear world she was working in at Supreme.

MadeMe quickly developed its own identity through bold graphics, strong silhouettes and designs that mixed streetwear with elements of punk and youth culture. The label also built links across music, art and fashion, while working with major names and brands including Nike, Vans, Converse, Dr. Martens and X-Girl.

The label became an important part of Magee's wider creative career and showed her ability to build a brand around more than just clothes. Its history was later collected in a Rizzoli book, with Magee credited as the author, documenting MadeMe's focus on self-expression, female identity and the close relationship between fashion and culture.

SKIMS Creates a New Role for Magee

The appointment is notable because Magee is not simply taking over an existing job. SKIMS has created the Chief Design Officer position for the first time, giving Magee a role focused on the products themselves as the company continues to grow.

Her work will cover design and creative product direction across SKIMS' growing range. The brand has expanded well beyond its original focus on shapewear and now includes underwear, loungewear and menswear, making product design an increasingly important part of its business.

That makes Magee's background especially interesting. She brings years of experience making products that connect with streetwear fans, while SKIMS gives her a much larger platform and a very different fashion audience.

Kim Schraub Also Gets a Major New Role

Magee's appointment is part of a wider change in SKIMS' creative leadership. At the same time, longtime creative director Kim Schraub was promoted to the newly created role of Chief Brand Officer.

Schraub has been with SKIMS since before the company officially launched in 2019. She helped shape the brand across product, packaging and campaigns and will now focus more broadly on retail, campaigns, collaborations and storytelling.

The two new positions split the creative work into two clear areas. Schraub will guide the wider brand, while Magee will take the lead on design and creative product direction as SKIMS continues its global expansion.

What Magee's Move Could Mean for SKIMS

Magee's arrival gives SKIMS a creative leader with deep roots in streetwear and product design, bringing years of experience in creating products that connect fashion with culture. Her background could give a fresh edge to a company that has grown from a shapewear label into a much wider fashion and lifestyle brand with a global audience.

The timing also makes the move stand out even more. Magee left Supreme after 22 years, and within days she was announced as the first person to hold SKIMS' Chief Design Officer role, making her move a major shift in the fashion world and one of the most notable industry appointments of the month.

For SKIMS, the goal now appears clear: build on its strong identity while pushing its products into new areas and giving its design a fresh direction. With Magee leading product design and Schraub taking charge of the wider brand, the company has created a new creative structure as it prepares for its next stage of growth.
