Gabrielle Union-Wade and Katie Holmes turned heads in Bridgehampton, New York. The celebrities were among those who gathered celebrating Ferragamo's return to the Hamptons. The exclusive summer event was hosted by Union-Wade alongside Ferragamo Americas chief executive Daniella Vitale. The event marked the launch of the Italian luxury house's four-day pop-up residency at Topping Rose House, one of the East End's most sought-after destinations.

The event took place beneath the summer sky in the hotel's picturesque orchard. The evening attracted an influential mix of fashion, entertainment and media figures, including Christie Brinkley, Sailor Brinkley-Cook, Katie Couric, Rachel Zoe, Don Lemon and Derek Blasberg. The celebration highlighted Ferragamo's pre-autumn 2026 collection and the contemporary vision of creative director Maximilian Davis.

Embracing the Resortwear Trend

Among the evening's standout fashion moments was Katie Holmes. The actress was dressed in a sophisticated ensemble. She embraced the growing resortwear trend with a sheer navy button-down blouse paired with a champagne-toned fringed skirt.

Her outfit offered movement and texture. She completed the look with a vibrant red Ferragamo handbag and sleek patent leather mules. Her look demonstrated the refined balance between relaxed summer dressing and evening glamour.

Holmes described the outfit as a blend of masculine and feminine influences. Her outfit favoured feathered and fringed details and it felt particularly fitting for the season.

A Memorable Fashion Statement

Union-Wade delivered a memorable fashion statement. The actress and entrepreneur wore a sleeveless tan Ferragamo dress featuring an asymmetrical silhouette. Her outfit featured a dramatic black floor-length fringe skirt.

The look was accessorised with a woven leather tote, understated jewellery and sandals, allowing the striking movement of the fringe detailing to remain the focal point. Her appearance perfectly captured the event's theme of elevated summer elegance.

More than Just a Brand Event

Guests arrived for a cocktail reception by the pool, where Ferragamo-branded beach towels, umbrellas and decorative accents transformed the venue into an Italian-inspired retreat. Aperol Spritzes and champagne circulated among attendees as they explored the curated pop-up space, which featured sandals, handbags and seasonal ready-to-wear pieces selected specifically for the Hamptons clientele.

As sunset approached, guests moved to a long candlelit table set within the orchard. The three-course dinner reflected the relaxed luxury associated with both Ferragamo and summer entertaining. A spicy kale salad opened the meal, followed by a choice of fish or steak. Guests were treated to almond cake and strawberry sorbet for a sweet conclusion to the evening.

During the event, Vitale praised Union-Wade not only for her fashion influence but also for her advocacy work and community engagement. Union-Wade has spent recent summers in the North Fork with husband Dwyane Wade. She said the gathering represented an opportunity to bring together friends, neighbours and members of her growing local community.

Ferragamo's Hamptons celebration became more than a brand event. Thanks to the effortless resortwear of Holmes and Untion-Wade, it looks like the trend is here to stay. The event served as a reminder that summer fashion can be both effortless and polished, with movement, texture and understated luxury taking centre stage.
