Frankie Muniz has shocked fans by revealing that he and his wife, Paige Muniz, had secretly separated before quietly ending their six-year marriage. The former Malcolm in the Middle star, 40, shared the unexpected news in an emotional statement on X, disclosing that the couple had kept their separation private before making the difficult decision public.

The revelation stunned many followers, as the pair had continued to present a united front while raising their five-year-old son, Mauz, and working together through their family business, Muniz Racing.

Despite the end of their marriage, Muniz insisted there is no bitterness between them, describing Paige as his 'biggest supporter' and confirming they will remain business partners and devoted co-parents.

Frankie Reveals Couple Kept Separation Private

Muniz said the decision followed a period of private reflection rather than a sudden breakdown in their relationship.

'Following a period of separation that we kept private, Paige and I have decided to move forward with ending our marriage,' he wrote.

'After 10 beautiful years together, we've grown in ways that made us realise our relationship feels most natural and strong as a deep friendship and as co-parents.'

The actor said their son remains at the heart of every decision.

'We share an incredible son who remains the centre of our world, and we're both happier, stronger parents because of the love and growth we've shared.'

Muniz also thanked Paige for the sacrifices she made throughout their relationship.

'I'm endlessly grateful to Paige for everything she's done for me and our family. She put her own dreams on hold so I could chase mine, and she was always my biggest supporter.'

Although their marriage is ending, he stressed that their friendship remains intact.

'That foundation of respect and friendship isn't going anywhere.'

Muniz added that they will continue running Muniz Racing together while raising their son.

'We'll continue co-parenting our boy with the same teamwork and love we've always had, and we'll also continue building Muniz Racing together.'

He concluded by asking supporters to respect the family's privacy and confirmed there would be no further public comments.

Fans Divided by Divorce Announcement

Muniz's statement quickly prompted a wave of reactions on X, with many followers expressing surprise that the couple had managed to keep their separation private.

While some fans offered messages of support, others questioned both the decision to divorce and the public announcement.

One user wrote: 'Nah homie, this ain't it. You fight for your marriage, you don't just give up on it. When couples celebrate 50+ years together, they'll be the first to tell you they felt like giving up multiple times. The key is, you don't quit.'

Another commented: 'You're lying to yourselves if you think your kid is somehow better off. By all means, end the marriage if that's what you are determined to do, but pretending it won't hurt your child deeply and for a long time is dishonest.'

A third added: 'Gee, and who might you be? And why should anyone care? btw, if you demand that we respect your privacy, why are you making this such a public event?'

Muniz and Paige began dating in 2016 after meeting at one of his racing events. They became engaged in 2018, eloped in October 2019, and later celebrated with a larger wedding ceremony before welcoming their son, Mauz Mosley Muniz, in March 2021.

Throughout their relationship, Paige supported Muniz's return to professional motorsport while the couple built Muniz Racing together. More recently, the actor has also been preparing for his return in the upcoming Malcolm in the Middle revival.
