If you spotted someone looking like they made a detour to Paris Fashion Week while on the way back to his palace in the 1800s, that was most likely Jimin of BTS.

The BTS member arrived at the Dior Homme Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 show looking like he had walked straight out of a painting at the Louvre. Dressed in a deep blue velvet tailcoat with a structured silhouette, Jimin was dressed to the nines while scoring a 10 in the hearts of fans and fashionistas alike.

The Dior show took place at the Musée Nissim de Camondo, a venue inspired by Versailles' Petit Trianon. If Dior's intention was to stage a morning show that felt like a sweet escape from Paris' rising temperatures, this was the coolest way to do it.

The Little Prince of Dior

Fondly nicknamed as 'The Little Prince' by fans (ARMY), Jimin was a historic, heartbreaking fairytale unleashed in Paris.

The coat's rich texture and tailored structure had classic European aristocracy sewn into its luxurious seams, while the deep blue shade mirrored Dior's legacy of refined sophistication. Paired with minimalistic styling, the look masterfully dodged costume territory and instead looked like a modern reinterpretation of royal dressing.

Apart from the scene-stealing piece de resistance, Jimin topped the ensemble off with an understated modern twist. Light wash jeans balanced out the time warp nicely. To boot, a checkered collar subtly peeking out from underneath the regal coat made the 'Serendipity' singer the absolute paragon of mixing and matching eras.

Always eagle-eyed in terms of anything BTS-related, ARMY quickly picked up on the 'little prince' aura, strengthening their stance on how the vocalist never beats the 'prince allegations.'

Moreover, if you haven't heard of the 'Jimin Effect' yet, consider this your first symptom. (Rumour has it that no one is immune to it.)

Jimin Fashion Week

At Paris Fashion Week, fans lined up to support him in the best way that fans do; by cheerfully screaming at the top of their lungs. Getting the royal treatment, Dior even took to Instagram to share a reel of the K-Pop idol peering over Paris from a balcony as camera flashes went off like the singer's personal star lights.

Dior has long been associated with quiet luxury that makes a loud impact through the power of a sturdy stitch and a lavish label. Parallel to that notion, Jimin carries haute couture standard by wearing a bold concept and turning it into a statement that makes headlines around the globe.

While evidently inspired by the Regency age of monarchs or the Renaissance era of romance, the outfit defied gravity by being dramatically fashion-forward, rather than regressive. That said, thanks to the combination of style authority and music stardom, Dior and Jimin make a collaboration that thousands simply j'adore.

If the prince aesthetic makes it off the runway and into men's wardrobe rotations, we're more than ready to label this velvet look as 50% idol satin, 50% luxury house prestige. Handle with care and avant-garde enthusiasm.
