Machine Gun Kelly has responded to a viral fake tweet claiming he regrets his split from former fiancée Megan Fox after her latest photos circulated online. The rapper dismissed the post after it was shared on social media with images of the former couple and an alleged message expressing regret over their relationship.
The fabricated tweet suggested that Kelly regretted losing Fox and described her as the woman of his dreams. Rapper, whose real name is Colson Baker, quickly denied writing the message, making it clear that the post attributed to him was not genuine.
Machine Gun Kelly Calls Viral Tweet Fake
The controversy began on Monday, 12 October, when a post circulated on X featuring photographs of Fox alongside a screenshot of an alleged tweet from Kelly's account. The message claimed that seeing Fox's latest pictures had made him regret how their relationship ended. It also included statements suggesting that he had lost an exceptional partner and was struggling with the idea of seeing the public admire her after their separation.

The post included the line, 'Imagine fumbling the girl of your dreams and then having to watch the entire world remind you how beautiful she is.' The wording led the screenshot to be presented as a personal admission from Kelly. However, the rapper directly challenged its authenticity in a reply on X on Tuesday, 13 October.
'That tweet is faker than a pair of tits,' he wrote, dismissing the message in his typically blunt style. Kelly's response addressed the central claim behind the viral post: that he had publicly expressed regret about losing Fox. His denial means the circulating screenshot should not be treated as an authentic statement from the musician.
Megan Fox's New Photos Draw Attention Online
The viral post featured recent photographs of Fox, whose return to social media and new business venture have attracted attention. On 9 October, the actress introduced Subs.com, a paid-content platform developed in partnership with former OnlyFans chief executive Tim Stokely. Fox promoted the venture with images and a teaser describing it as 'a neo-noir erotic thriller'.
She continued sharing photographs in the days that followed, including a series of images posted on 12 October in which she wore pink lingerie and posed against a backdrop of cash. The new images appeared alongside renewed online interest in her past relationship with Kelly. The photographs themselves do not establish anything about the rapper's private feelings towards his former fiancée.
The fake tweet combined Fox's pictures with an emotional message attributed to Kelly, creating the impression that her latest appearance had prompted him to reconsider their separation. Kelly's public response rejected that premise.
When Did Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox Split?
Kelly and Fox first met in 2020 while working on the film Midnight in the Switchgrass. Their relationship became public that year, and the pair quickly attracted attention through joint appearances and public declarations about their connection.
Kelly proposed to Fox in January 2022. Their engagement and relationship subsequently experienced several reported difficulties, followed by periods of reconciliation. The couple ultimately ended their engagement in late 2024. Their separation became a major subject of celebrity news, particularly because they continued to share a connection after their romantic relationship ended.
In March 2025, Fox and Kelly welcomed their daughter, Saga Blade. The former couple have since continued to navigate their relationship as co-parents. Although speculation about their romantic status has occasionally resurfaced, Kelly's response to the latest viral post concerned the authenticity of the alleged tweet rather than a new announcement about their relationship.
Kelly and Fox Co-Parent Their Daughter
Despite their separation, Kelly has publicly praised Fox's role in raising their daughter. During an appearance on Today with Jenna & Friends on 7 August 2025, he redirected praise for his parenting towards Fox.
'It's awesome. I want to detract all of the congrats to me and just move it to Megan because she really does all the work,' he said.
Fox also shares three sons with her former husband, actor Brian Austin Green, while Kelly has an older daughter, Casie, from a previous relationship. Kelly's response to the viral screenshot concerned the authenticity of the alleged tweet, not the possibility of a reconciliation. He denied writing the message, and it should not be treated as a genuine statement about his feelings towards Fox.
