Millie Bobby Brown had fans doing a double take after sharing photos from her Iceland getaway, with some convinced they had spotted a very familiar rapper among the Stranger Things star's holiday companions.
'I'm tripping or does one of her friends look a LOT like Ice Spice?' one Reddit user asked after Brown, 22, posted a series of photos from the trip on Instagram on Monday, 5 October.
The fan was not imagining things. Ice Spice really was there.
Scenic Iceland Getaway
Brown travelled around Iceland with husband Jake Bongiovi and a group of friends, including the 'Munch' rapper, as they enjoyed whale watching, fishing, hiking and the country's geothermal waters. The actress gave followers a glimpse into the trip through a series of photos, showing some of the scenery and activities the group experienced during their Iceland adventure.
Brown also shared a glimpse of the group relaxing at the Hvammsvík sea baths, while Icelandic outlet Vísir reported that she and Ice Spice were among those enjoying the popular destination. The unexpected friendship immediately became a talking point among fans, particularly because Brown and Ice Spice have not typically been associated with the same celebrity circles.
'Its 100% ice spice lol I am so surprised tbh,' another Reddit user replied, while others had fun with the Iceland setting. One fan dubbed the rapper 'Iceland Spice', while another joked, 'Ice Spice on Ice, if you will.' Someone else admitted they were equally surprised to discover the two stars were friends, writing, 'them being friends is so shocking to me lmao.'

Brown's post came with the message, 'Find your people, hold them close!', giving fans another reason to focus on the people surrounding her during the trip.
The Celebrity Friendship Had Been Taking Shape
Although Ice Spice's appearance in Brown's Iceland photos may have surprised fans, the pair have actually been appearing together for months. In July, Ice Spice appeared alongside Brown and rapper Lil Yachty in a video taking part in a TikTok challenge set to Drake's 'Shabang'. The unusual celebrity combination also caught fans' attention at the time.

The appearance offered an early public glimpse of the friendship, with Brown and Ice Spice appearing together outside the usual settings fans might associate with either star. The two stars were pictured together again in August, when Ice Spice shared an Instagram carousel featuring Brown. Brown appeared to acknowledge their friendship in the comments, writing 'angel 💖' beneath the post.
Their latest holiday suggests the connection has continued away from social media, with Ice Spice joining Brown, Bongiovi and their friends for their Iceland adventure.
Fans Were Not Expecting the Pairing
Ice Spice also shared her own photos from the getaway and reportedly gave the trip a fitting nickname: 'Spiceland.' That detail only added to the playful reaction surrounding the holiday, with fans embracing the unexpected pairing and coming up with their own Iceland-themed nicknames for the rapper.
The reaction highlights how celebrity friendships can catch fans off guard when they happen outside the usual Hollywood circles. Brown is best known for playing Eleven in Stranger Things, while Ice Spice is known for songs including 'Munch (Feelin' U)'. Despite their very different careers, the pair appear to have formed a friendship that has now extended from social media into real-life holidays.
The Iceland photos offered fans another glimpse of a friendship they may not have expected, but which has been appearing on social media in recent months. And Brown's caption seemed to sum up the trip perfectly: 'Find your people, hold them close!'
