Rihanna has collected Grammys, built a billion-dollar beauty empire, and become one of Barbados' most famous exports. Still, one of her biggest career achievements might be more difficult to fit inside a trophy cabinet.
She has an entire street named after her.
Nearly a decade after the road where she grew up was renamed 'Rihanna Drive', the singer returned to her childhood neighbourhood with her children, RZA, Riot Rose, and Rocki for a rather adorable full-circle family moment.
Suddenly, embarking on a homecoming adventure with your kids shows that all roads lead to Rihanna Drive.
Rihanna Takes Her Kids Down Memory Lane
The Instagram post shows Rihanna standing with her three children outside the colourful home where she spent part of her childhood in Barbados. In Rihanna's case, walking down memory lane means that lane is literally named after her.
RZA, 4, wore blue sunglasses with a burgundy Spider-Man T-shirt, while three-year-old Riot stood beside his mum in denim shorts and a striped shirt. Baby Rocki, now 11 months old, was dressed in a bright red checked co-ord as Rihanna carried her.
In another particularly sweet photograph, the singer gathered her children around the commemorative marker bearing her name, complete with a small illustration of the sun.
'One minute I feel like that kid from Westbury...the next minute I'm bringing my own kids back to "Rihanna Drive",' Rihanna wrote on Instagram.
'Trippy how life works!' she admitted.
The singer also made clear where she believes the credit belongs, adding, 'And the Glory STILL and WILL ALWAYS belong to the Almighty Creator!!!'
From Westbury New Road to Rihanna Drive
Before Rihanna Drive became a destination for fans to take selfies with, it was known as Westbury New Road.
The street sits in the St. Michael area of Barbados, and it was the place that teenage Robyn Rihanna Fenty called home before she dominated the charts with hits like 'Shut Up and Drive', 'We Found Love', and 'Only Girl in the World'.
In 2017, Barbados officially renamed the road 'Rihanna Drive' in honour of the singer.
The gesture meant her childhood home suddenly had one particularly famous address, but returning there as a mother added another chapter to its prestige.
This time, Rihanna was not simply revisiting the place that helped shape her. She was introducing it to three of her mini versions, the next generation of her family.
Rihanna Comes Home to Barbados
The sentimental visit came during an especially festive trip home alongside her partner, A$AP Rocky, and her three children.
Rihanna recently returned to Barbados for the Crop Over Festival, once again marking the country's annual celebration in suitably spectacular fashion. She reportedly participated in the Grand Kadooment parade earlier this month wearing a jewel-covered costume bursting with colourful feathers.
Yet after all the sparkle-dipped festivities, one of the quieter moments from her trip may have carried more heart.
There were no elaborate costumes required on Rihanna Drive. Just Rihanna, her family, and the home where a much younger version of her once stood without knowing exactly how far her dreams and talent would take her.
Turns out, Rihanna won't ever need a compass to lead her back home, because hers has her name written on it.
