British YouTuber and rapper Yung Filly is facing a major court case after a fan encounter turned into a serious legal matter. The online star, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, is accused of offences linked to an alleged incident after his performance in Perth, Australia, in September 2024.
Prosecutors told the District Court of Western Australia that the woman had attended Yung Filly's nightclub show before later going with him to a hotel. The court heard claims that what started as a consensual encounter later became violent, leading to allegations of sexual assault.
Yung Filly has pleaded not guilty, and the trial is continuing.
Inside the Night Behind the Court Allegations
According to prosecutors, the woman had been looking forward to seeing Yung Filly perform at Bar1 in Hillarys Boat Harbour, Perth. The court heard she was a fan of the entertainer and had described him as someone she admired.
After his performance, prosecutors said she was invited into the VIP area, where she met Yung Filly. The prosecutor told the court that the pair later left the venue together with a group of people and went to the InterContinental Hotel.
The woman told the court that she believed she was going to an after-party but later realised they were going directly to the hotel room. Prosecutors claimed her phone had been taken by one of Yung Filly's associates and was not immediately returned.
Inside the hotel room, the court heard that the pair initially had consensual sex. However, prosecutors alleged that the situation changed and became increasingly aggressive.
The court heard claims that Yung Filly slapped the woman, bit her and held his hand around her neck.
Prosecutors also alleged that she suffered injuries, including bruising and a bite wound on her breast that broke the skin and required a tetanus injection.
Giving evidence through a video link, the woman told the court she repeatedly told him he was hurting her. 'It was getting more aggressive. He was throwing me around. Each time I said anything, he would hurt me more,' the woman said, according to local media.
Prosecutors claimed she later reported the alleged assault to police and took photographs of her injuries.
Yung Filly is currently facing six counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault causing bodily harm and one count of impeding normal breathing. The allegations have not been proven, and he remains innocent unless found guilty by the court.
