David Beckham's iconic Adidas Predator boots are getting a 25th anniversary revival, with a new special-edition design inspired by the pair he wore for one of the most famous moments of his England career. The new boots feature Adidas' signature Trefoil logo and pay tribute to Beckham's dramatic 93rd-minute free kick against Greece on 6 October 2001, which secured England's place at the 2002 FIFA World Cup.

Co-designed with Beckham, the release blends details from his original Predator with updated football technology. The classic white-and-red colourway draws on the boots worn by Beckham at Old Trafford, while a series of contemporary touches give the silhouette a modern update.

One of the biggest talking points is the Trefoil emblem. Historically associated with Adidas' Originals line, the logo has appeared on a Predator only once before, making its return a notable detail for fans of both football and fashion. The brand previously used the Trefoil on Beckham's 2024 special-edition Predator.

A Tribute to Beckham's 2001 Moment

Beckham's free kick against Greece became one of the defining moments of his England career, with the midfielder curling the ball into the net in the 93rd minute to send England to the 2002 World Cup.

The moment helped strengthen the association between Beckham and the Predator, a relationship that stretched across his career at Manchester United, Real Madrid and with the England national team. His precision, set-piece ability and distinctive style helped make him one of the franchise's most recognisable players.

The new design draws directly on that football heritage while presenting the Predator for a new generation. Rather than simply reproducing Beckham's original boots, Adidas has retained recognisable visual cues while incorporating updated construction and performance features.

The Trefoil Detail

The boot features an iconic fold-over tongue made from red leather, finished with an embroidered Trefoil logo. The emblem also appears across the upper, with both the lateral and medial Three Stripes featuring a subtle repeating Trefoil pattern.

Customised David Beckham branding features prominently on the lateral heel, adding another personal detail to the design. Together with the white-and-red colour scheme, the elements give the boot a distinctly early-2000s feel without making it a straightforward replica of Beckham's original pair.

The release follows Beckham's 2024 special-edition Adidas footwear, which sold out within 24 hours, and continues the long-running collaboration between the former England captain and the German sportswear brand.

Retro Looks, Modern Technology

Drawing technical inspiration from the Adidas Predator Elite FT L-Tech concept, the new boot combines a premium leather forefoot with an updated soleplate. The leather construction is designed to provide a soft touch and natural comfort, while the boot retains lightweight support and modern performance technologies.

That balance between heritage styling and contemporary performance is central to the release. The result is a boot designed to evoke the appearance of early-2000s football footwear while retaining technology intended for the modern game.

The new David Beckham Predator boots are available through the official Adidas online store and selected Adidas retail stores, giving fans the chance to own a contemporary interpretation of the footwear associated with one of Beckham's most memorable England moments.
