Some fans said the ensemble made Beyoncé look like a grandmother, while others immediately saw a resemblance to her own mum, Tina Knowles.

Beyoncé wore a blue knit tunic sweater-dress featuring a lace-trimmed high-neck detail, paired with a sheer lace skirt featuring a thigh-high slit. She accessorised with a statement pearl necklace, cat-eye sunglasses and black pumps, giving the outfit a distinctly ladylike feel.
Jay-Z kept things casual in a white hooded sweatshirt, loose black trousers, white trainers, a black baseball cap and sunglasses.

The grandmother comparisons also kept coming.

One commenter offered a much longer critique, arguing that people who enter an elite social class later in life can lack the 'internalised codes' associated with it. 'They lack internal aesthetic comprehension. She can't comprehend taste,' the user wrote.
