Blac Chyna is facing renewed scrutiny over her finances after a reported tax lien emerged in California. The model and reality TV personality, whose real name is Angela White, reportedly owes $116,732.37 (more than £86,000) in unpaid state taxes for the 2024 tax year.

The reported debt has also brought her past relationships and child-support arrangements with Rob Kardashian and Tyga back into the spotlight. In 2020, Chyna described raising her kids without child support as her 'biggest flex'.

Blac Chyna Hit With Tax Lien

According to Page Six, California's Franchise Tax Board has filed a tax lien against Chyna over $116,732.37 (over £86,000) in unpaid state taxes for 2024. A tax lien is a legal claim placed against a person's property or assets to secure unpaid tax obligations. It can affect someone's ability to sell or refinance certain assets until the outstanding amount is addressed.

The latest report is not the first time Chyna's tax affairs have attracted attention. In April 2022, TMZ reported that Chyna testified during her legal battle with the Kardashian family that she had not filed her personal taxes since 2015. She also said that her last business tax filings were for Lashed LLC, 88 Fin and Blac Chyna Inc., dating back to 2018 or 2019.

During the testimony, Chyna reportedly told the court that she did not have a personal bank account. She also disclosed that she had earned approximately $2 million (£1.5 million) in each of 2018, 2019 and 2020, with income coming from celebrity appearances and her OnlyFans account.

It's important to note that the 2022 testimony provides earlier context surrounding her financial affairs, but it does not establish that she had another tax lien at the time. The newly reported California tax claim specifically concerns the 2024 tax year.

Raising Children Without Support

Chyna's recent tax debt has revived her previous comments about financially supporting her kids without relying on child support from their fathers.

During a September 2020 appearance on SiriusXM's Hip Hop Nation, the model was asked about her biggest personal achievement. She identified raising her children independently as something she was particularly proud of.

'My biggest flex. I mean, just honestly taking care of my kids by myself as a single parent, but no child support. So that's my biggest flex', she said at the time.

Children and Co-Parenting Arrangements

Chyna has two children from separate relationships. Chyna shares her son, King Cairo, with rapper Tyga and her daughter, Dream, with reality TV personality Rob Kardashian. She dated Tyga from 2011 to 2014, while her relationship with Kardashian began in 2016.

Her co-parenting arrangements have also involved different financial agreements. In March 2019, Chyna and Kardashian agreed to end their previous child support arrangement, with neither parent required to make payments to the other.

The agreement required each parent to cover Dream's expenses during their respective custody periods, while sharing the costs of medical insurance, uninsured medical care and mutually agreed schooling.

Under their original 2017 agreement, Kardashian had been ordered to pay $20,000 (£14,800) per month. He later sought to reduce the amount, claiming he could no longer afford the payments, before reaching the revised arrangement with Chyna in 2019.

A similar arrangement was reached with Tyga in December 2023, when the former couple settled their custody dispute over King Cairo. They agreed to share legal and physical custody, with neither parent required to pay child support.
