Brandi Glanville has revealed a shocking list of diagnoses as she prepares for more surgery following years of unexplained facial swelling, pain and disfigurement.
The 53-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum says doctors have diagnosed her with highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, coccidioidomycosis, also known as Valley Fever, Demodex dermatitis and mononucleosis. She has also claimed that a 'fungal ball' in her face needs to be surgically removed, while previously describing an ultrasound in which she says medical staff saw 'something alive' and 'moving'.
Glanville made the latest revelations on Instagram as she gave followers a candid look at the physical and emotional toll of her ongoing health battle.
'I'm finally ready to tell you what I've actually been fighting and to start sharing some of my worst moments leading up to finally getting diagnosed,' she wrote.
Glanville Says a 'Fungal Ball' Needs To Be Removed
Among the most striking details in Glanville's latest update is her claim that she has a 'fungal ball' in her face which requires surgery.
'I also have a fungal ball in my face that needs to be removed,' she said, adding that she also needs to have metals from old dental work removed and undergo further breast implant surgery.
She said she is facing several procedures alongside between four and six months of daily intravenous treatment.
'The treatment has NOT been easy,' Glanville said, adding that she has seen 'very little improvement' so far.
The reality star said her treatment is costing between $3,300 and $6,000 a month. She also revealed that she is currently unable to work apart from her podcast and is worried about how she will cope financially and mentally.
She Previously Said an Ultrasound Showed 'Something Alive'
The latest diagnosis comes after Glanville recently shared another disturbing development in her search for answers.
In videos posted earlier this month, she showed followers parts of her daily treatment routine, including lengthy IV infusions. She also discussed an ultrasound that she said showed something moving beneath the skin on the left side of her face.
According to Glanville, the ultrasound technician told her there was 'something alive' in her face and that it was moving. She said the radiologist also agreed with the observation.
However, the claim should be treated as Glanville's account of what she says she was told. There has been no independent confirmation in the public reporting that the ultrasound showed a parasite or another living organism.
Glanville has previously described her condition as a facial parasite, but her medical journey has involved several reported diagnoses and theories rather than one publicly established explanation for all of her symptoms.
A Complex List of Diagnoses
Glanville says her current diagnoses include ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Valley Fever, Demodex dermatitis and mononucleosis.
Coccidioidomycosis, or Valley Fever, is a fungal infection caused by Coccidioides, which is found in soil in parts of the United States. Demodex mites are microscopic organisms commonly found in hair follicles, including on the face, and an overgrowth can cause skin inflammation.
Her bacterial diagnoses are also significant because biofilms can make some bacterial infections more difficult to treat. Glanville's treatment includes prolonged IV medication, with recent reports detailing an 18-hour daily regimen.
The intensity of the treatment has dramatically restricted her day-to-day life. Glanville has said she spends much of her time at home and has struggled to eat while undergoing the infusions.
Her Three-Year Search for Answers
Glanville's health problems first became public in 2023, when she began experiencing severe facial symptoms.
She initially discussed the condition as a possible parasite and later said she believed ruptured breast implants had contributed to the problem. In February 2026, she said it had taken 21 doctors and around $200,000 to identify what she believed was the source of her problems.
She subsequently had her implants removed, but later reported that her symptoms had returned. In June, Glanville also revealed that doctors had found a benign tumour in one of the lymph nodes in her face. She said at the time that it could explain some of the fluid and swelling around her face.
These developments mean her latest diagnoses form another chapter in a long and complicated search for an explanation, rather than a single confirmed cause of her facial changes.
'I Want My Health Back'
Glanville has now given followers an unusually raw look at the reality of living with the condition. The footage she shared includes visible facial swelling and moments from her treatment, which she acknowledged were difficult to watch.
'I'm sharing some really bad moments, and I know I don't look good in these videos,' she wrote. 'Honestly, I don't care. I feel terrible, and this is what being sick looks like for me right now.'
With further surgery ahead and months of daily treatment expected, Glanville said she is desperate to regain some normality.
'I just want this s–t OUT of my body. I want my health back. I want my life back. I want to feel like me again.'
For now, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star says she is continuing treatment while trying to find answers to a medical ordeal that has already cost her hundreds of thousands of dollars and dramatically changed her life.
