Brazilian social media personality Meirivone Rocha Moraes has celebrated six years with her life-sized rag doll 'husband', Marcelo, sharing an anniversary photograph on Instagram this week despite previously claiming he repeatedly cheated on her. In the tribute, Moraes commemorated 'six years of love' and described Marcelo as her best decision. The declaration follows allegations that the handmade doll was a 'serial cheater', alongside her account of a relationship crisis serious enough to prompt plans for weekly couples therapy.
The six-year milestone refers to their time together, not six years of marriage. Moraes staged a wedding ceremony on 18 December 2021 in Rio Paranaíba, Minas Gerais, with approximately 250 guests. The celebration was symbolic rather than a legally recognised marriage.
Why Did Moraes Accuse Marcelo of Cheating?
Moraes first publicly described an infidelity dispute in 2022, claiming a friend spotted Marcelo entering a motel with another woman. According to Moraes, this happened while she was hospitalised with Marcelinho, whom she portrays as their son, and she later claimed to have discovered incriminating conversations on Marcelo's phone. She described an argument and said she made Marcelo sleep separately rather than immediately ending the relationship.

In an interview published in December 2025, Moraes renewed those allegations, declaring: 'Marcelo is a serial cheater.' She said she had forgiven him because of their family but had grown doubtful about their future. 'He says he will change, but I don't believe him,' she said, while describing her feelings of anger and disappointment.
She also said they had discussed renewing their vows before the latest crisis. Moraes claimed she was giving Marcelo another chance and planned to attend couples therapy weekly, though she feared the relationship might still end. She also claimed to have locked away the doll's detachable rubber penis in response to his supposed affairs, refusing to return it until he changed.
Her Mother Created Her Rag Doll Husband?
The relationship began during the COVID-19 pandemic, when Moraes, a forró dancer, struggled to find a dance partner. Her mother, a seamstress, made Marcelo as a companion, and Moraes later began presenting him as her romantic partner. They married at an event venue in Minas Gerais, where friends and relatives gathered for the ceremony.

Afterwards, Moraes introduced a rag doll son named Marcelinho, followed by twin doll daughters Marcela and Emilia. She documented the family's milestones through TikTok and Instagram, building an audience around the relationship and the everyday dramas she describes. She has also said she believes Marcelo has a soul, while acknowledging that he is made of cloth.
A Fourth Doll Baby and a New Anniversary
Their family expanded again when Moraes announced the arrival of a fourth rag doll child, a boy named Robsu Marcelino, in December 2025. She shared an elaborate account of the doll's arrival, complete with a staged birth scene, after previously documenting a gender reveal. The pregnancy and childbirth stories form part of her symbolic family narrative rather than biological events.
Her posts have also featured a storyline in which Marcelinho was allegedly abducted and later returned. That account, like the infidelity allegations, has not been independently verified. These updates have kept Marcelo and their doll children central to Moraes' online storytelling.
Against that background, the latest anniversary message presents a markedly warmer picture. Moraes smiled beside Marcelo in the photograph and thanked him for being in her life. The tribute did not reveal whether Moraes had followed through with her plans for couples therapy or whether her concerns about their relationship had changed.
