Céline Dion added another luxury label to her growing Paris residency wardrobe rotation, stepping out on Wednesday, 23 September, in a draping black Balenciaga dress finished head to toe in matching accessories.
The singer was spotted greeting fans outside her Paris hotel in a design featuring a loosely wrapped, asymmetrical bodice connected to a ruched skirt with cutouts along the sides, a style Harper's Bazaar noted taps directly into one of this autumn's biggest trends, the draping top and dress.
A Full Monochrome Moment
Dion completed the all-black look with black suede Amina Muaddi slingbacks and a pair of oversized shield sunglasses from Courrèges. She added a touch of shine with crystal-embellished, petal-shaped gold earrings, which were also from Balenciaga — the only piece of the outfit to break from the head-to-toe monochrome theme.
The appearance is the latest in a series of designer looks Dion has worn while in Paris for her residency. Her recent wardrobe has included Alaïa, Loewe, Givenchy, Tom Ford, Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent, Jacquemus and Phoebe Philo.
Reunited With a Longtime Stylist
The run of Paris looks also coincides with the return of longtime stylist Annie Horth to Dion's fashion team. Horth worked with Dion for years before their previous period apart and has been involved in the singer's current Paris wardrobe. Recent coverage has linked her to several of Dion's looks, including designs from Alaïa, Tom Ford and Loewe.
Dion has also continued to work with other fashion creatives, including Law Roach. Current reports therefore point to a wider styling team rather than a straightforward replacement of one stylist by another.
Dion's Major Comeback
The Paris shows mark Dion's return to full-length concerts after six years away from touring. She revealed her diagnosis with stiff-person syndrome in 2022, and has performed only sparingly since, including a single-song appearance at the Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony.
She opened the residency on 12 September with the French-language song 'On Ne Change Pas', telling the crowd through tears, 'I had promised myself not to cry. But I'm so happy to see you all. I missed you.' The two-hour, 20-minute set drew on songs from across Dion's catalogue, including 'The Power of Love', 'Because You Loved Me', 'All By Myself', and 'My Heart Will Go On', alongside a heavy dose of her French-language repertoire.
The 2026 run at the Plenitude Arena consists of 16 performances between 12 September and 17 October. Another 10 concerts are scheduled for May 2027, taking the residency to 26 shows in total.
More than nine million people registered for the original ticket-access lottery, and the 16 autumn 2026 shows sold out within hours. The May 2027 dates were added later in response to demand. French radio station Europe 1 has estimated the residency could generate around €1 billion in economic impact for France, roughly four times what Beyoncé's Paris shows brought in during June 2025.
A Fashion Streak With No Sign of Slowing
Celine Dion's latest Balenciaga appearance adds another major fashion house to a wardrobe that has become a recurring part of her Paris comeback.
With 2026 shows continuing through October and another 10 dates scheduled for May 2027, her residency is set to provide plenty more opportunities for the singer's evolving Paris style to take centre stage.
