Feeling the Pressure
Miller has spoken publicly about feeling pressure to alter her hair while working in modelling and entertainment. In 2021, she explained that she had experienced insecurity about her natural hair while working as a model. She shared that wearing extensions was often easier because people did not always know how to style Black hair.
The reality television personality has since become more open about wearing styles that reflect her natural texture. In a 2026 interview with Allure, Miller described braids as one of the styles in which she feels most comfortable.
'I feel like I've been able to shed the anxiety or the anticipation' of having her hair become a topic of conversation, she told the publication.

No Longer Trying to Fit In

'As I've gotten older and been more comfortable in my skin, I've had the confidence to experiment and play around,' Miller said.

'At the end of the day,' she said, girls should understand that 'no matter what our hair looks like, it is professional, it's acceptable, it's our hair'.
