DeMellier has given five of its best-known handbags a fashion-world makeover, with style figures including Taylor Hill, Romee Strijd and Lena Mahfouf putting their own stamp on the London label's signature designs. The new Icons collection sees five women rework established DeMellier styles in colours, textures and finishes chosen to reflect their individual wardrobes, with prices reaching as high as $730 for the most expensive design.
Rather than replacing its recognisable silhouettes with entirely new shapes, DeMellier has kept its classic designs at the heart of the collection while giving each one a distinctly personal twist. The five collaborators are Montreal-based style figure Grece Ghanem, Paris-based creator Lena Mahfouf, models Taylor Hill and Romee Strijd, and Scottish model and entrepreneur Rebecca Donaldson.

Five Fashion Names Reinvent DeMellier's Icons
Hill chose the Large Siena Bucket and had it finished in deep burgundy, a shade she described as timeless and easy to wear. Ghanem, meanwhile, selected the Midi Hudson, a bag she has owned and carried for years, and reimagined it in dark navy croc-effect leather for a more distinctive finish.
Donaldson opted for the Stockholm Shoulder, choosing dark sage fine-grain leather and adding contrasting white stitching. She said the combination felt true to her understated style while providing 'a little something unexpected', with the sage shade sitting between green and grey.
Mahfouf chose the New York in fern-coloured suede, while Strijd gave the Stockholm a dark brown fine-grain leather finish. Strijd said she wanted a design that 'works with everything but still feels special', and was particularly drawn to the bowling bag shape because it felt 'feminine, timeless, and comfortable'.
The result is a collection in which the same polished DeMellier aesthetic takes on five distinct interpretations. From Hill's rich burgundy to Ghanem's croc-effect navy and Mahfouf's tactile fern suede, the changes are subtle enough to preserve the original designs while making each version feel individual.
Prices Reach $730 for the Personalised Designs
The collection ranges from $595 to $730, making Mahfouf's New York the most expensive of the five. Strijd's Stockholm costs $725, Ghanem's Midi Hudson is $715, Hill's Siena Bucket is $690, while Donaldson's Stockholm Shoulder is priced at $595.
The collection reflects DeMellier founder Mireia Llusia-Lindh's focus on bags designed to outlast short-lived trends. 'We chose five different women, across generations, backgrounds and experiences, who were already part of our community and connected with our values,' Llusia-Lindh said.
She described the five as being 'united by a strong sense of self, determination and purpose', with each having forged her own path. That idea sits at the centre of the Icons collection, turning familiar DeMellier silhouettes into more personal fashion statements without losing their practical, polished appeal.
DeMellier has built its business around well-made handbags priced below the big heritage houses. Its latest collection takes that established formula and adds the influence of five recognisable fashion figures, creating updated versions of the Midi Hudson, New York, Large Siena Bucket, Stockholm and Stockholm Shoulder.
With five fashion names, five signature silhouettes and prices reaching $730, the Icons collection offers a fresh way to wear DeMellier's established designs. Instead of simply adding the collaborators' names to familiar handbags, the collaboration gives each classic a considered change in colour, texture or detailing, making the makeover feel personal rather than purely promotional.
