Elon Musk's family life is back in the spotlight after explosive claims from his first wife, Justine Musk, appeared in a new documentary about the billionaire. The film, Musk, directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney, looks at everything from his relationships and children to his businesses, political influence and views on technology.
Among the revelations is Justine's claim that Elon referred to the mothers of his children as 'breeders'. The documentary also features Ashley St Clair, another mother of Elon's kids, who claims she rejected a $40 million (£30 million) deal that would have required her to remain silent.
Justine Musk Opens Up About Ex-Husband
Justine was married to Elon from 2000 to 2008 and had six children with him. Their first child, Nevada Alexander, died in infancy in 2002. They later welcomed twins Griffin and Vivian, followed by triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian.
In Musk, Justine looks back on what she describes as a difficult marriage. She claims Elon told her he was the 'alpha' in their relationship and says she learned the term 'gaslighting' through their time together.
She also revisits the death of Nevada, recalling Elon's claim that he held their son in his final moments. Justine disputes his account, saying she was the one holding Nevada when he died.
The documentary also discusses their transgender daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson. Justine claims Elon did not attempt to repair his relationship with Vivian after publicly commenting about her transition. She says he told her to tell Vivian that he would 'always love her', while also claiming he removed Vivian from his health insurance shortly afterwards.
Justine then makes a striking comment about how Elon viewed the mothers of his children: 'The breeders are interchangeable.'

Ashley St Clair and the Alleged $40M Offer
Ashley St Clair is another woman whose relationship with Elon features prominently in the documentary. She is the mother of Romulus, the tech billionaire's 13th publicly known child.
St Clair claims Elon's representatives offered her a $40 million (£30 million) non-disclosure agreement in exchange for her silence. Reportedly, the alleged arrangement included $15 million (£11 million) upfront, followed by $100,000 (£74,000) in monthly payments.
St Clair says she rejected the deal and chose to participate in Gibney's documentary instead. Meanwhile, Elon has denied that she was ever offered the deal.
She also claims Elon once told her he wanted a 'legion of children before the civil war'. Her account adds another layer to the film's examination of the tech mogul's views on population growth and fatherhood.
Elon Musk's Children and Exes
Elon Musk is publicly known to have 14 children with four women—including Nevada who died as an infant. His first six children were with Justine.
He later had three children with musician Grimes: X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl and Techno Mechanicus. He has four children with Shivon Zilis, including twins Strider and Azure, daughter Arcadia and son Seldon Lycurgus. His 13th publicly known child is Romulus, whom St Clair says she shares with Elon.
Elon has also been married to actress Talulah Riley, although they did not have children together.
