US Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) has barely had time to process reports about her split from longtime partner Riley Roberts before an unexpected suitor has publicly thrown his hat into the ring.

Looksmaxxing influencer Clavicular wasted little time reacting to the news, telling viewers during a livestream that he could 'fix' the congresswoman and insisting he would marry her. And that bold declaration quickly spread online.

Clavicular Jumps at Reports AOC Is Single

During his Kick livestream, Clavicular was seen scrolling through X when a photo of AOC appeared on screen.

'Oh my god. I can literally, I can fix her,' he said, before adding: 'I'll marry her. I'll marry her dude.' He also made disparaging remarks about Roberts and questioned whether the former couple had been physically intimate.

The comments were soon picked up by TMZ, which asked Clavicular about his very direct proposition in a follow-up interview. Asked what he meant by 'I can fix her,' the influencer initially sounded more sincere than his original livestream suggested.

'I don't cherish the fact that her relationship ended,' he said. 'I think that's a terribly unfortunate thing.'

He then claimed AOC could get 'a lot' from a relationship with him, adding that he thought they would 'have a pretty good time.'

But when TMZ pressed him on what exactly he believed was 'broken' about AOC, Clavicular offered a surprisingly simple explanation.

'I just tweeted that for engagement,' he admitted.

Inside AOC and Riley Roberts' Reported Split

Clavicular's comments came after reports that AOC and Roberts had quietly ended their relationship.

The pair first met while studying at Boston University and went on to have a relationship spanning more than a decade. They became engaged in 2022, but recent reports claim they separated around two years ago. However, AOC has not publicly confirmed the breakup.

The reported split has also coincided with AOC opening up about another deeply personal subject — her fertility.

The 36-year-old congresswoman recently revealed that she decided to freeze her eggs, sharing details of the process on Instagram. She said she had been saving for the procedure and wanted to be open about an experience that many women navigate privately. She also spoke about the pressure placed on women to make decisions about relationships, careers and having children.

Importantly, AOC has not said that her decision to freeze her eggs was connected to her reported split from Roberts.

AOC on Clavicular and Looksmaxxing Trend

Clavicular, whose real name is Braden Peters, is an internet personality and streamer best known for his looksmaxxing content. He has built a substantial following around discussions of appearance and self-improvement, becoming one of the more recognisable personalities associated with the online trend.

His interest in AOC is also not completely out of the blue.

In July, AOC was asked about Clavicular and his looksmaxxing content. The congresswoman did not criticise him personally, but said she was concerned about the message the trend could send to young men, particularly the pressure to meet unrealistic physical standards.

AOC compared the issue with the body-image pressures women have faced for years. She added that she would rather see young men focus on developing confidence and self-worth than believing their value comes primarily from their appearance.
