Finding the perfect wedding shoes is hard enough. Finding them when the groom, Karl-Anthony Towns, wears a size 20 apparently requires having Jaden Smith on speed dial.
The musician and designer pulled out all the stops for his childhood best friend, Jordyn Woods, when she married NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns on 15 August. Smith created a custom pair of Christian Louboutins especially for the seven-foot groom.
Considering that Smith is now Christian Louboutin's Men's Creative Director, it's easy to infer that one of his love languages comes with red soles.
'My Best Friend Got Married And I Made Karl Size 20 Red Bottoms,' Smith wrote on Instagram. 'Jordyn I Love You So Much Congratulations Karl I Love You Bro Keep The Swag On High.'
As the size 20 wedding footwear proves, if the shoe fits an NBA All-Star, it was probably designed by Jaden Smith.

If the bride was given 'something blue', Smith made sure the groom had 'something red', large, and lavish.
He created a custom version of Christian Louboutin's Chambeliss Night Strass shoe, complete with the luxury label's unmistakable red sole and sized especially for Towns.
The sophisticated footwear combined one of fashion's most recognisable signatures with dimensions considerably harder to find sitting on a department-store shelf.
At seven feet tall, the NBA All-Star understandably requires footwear to match. For his wedding, however, practicality was apparently not going to interfere with the dress code.
Smith also shared behind-the-scenes glimpses from the celebrations, including moments spent helping Towns prepare for the ceremony. The multi-hyphenate looked dapper and right at home with Jordyn Woods and her bridal squad.
Jordyn Woods and Jaden Smith Go Way Back
The gift becomes even sweeter once Smith and Woods' history enters the picture.
The pair have known each other since childhood, with their families closely connected long before either became famous on their own right.
Woods' father, John Woods, worked as a sound engineer on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and became close with Will Smith. Jordyn subsequently grew up around the Smith family, forming a sibling-like friendship with Jaden that has evidently continued into adulthood.
So when Smith called Woods his 'best friend' while celebrating her wedding, it clearly had years of family-like friendship backing it up. They have essentially been there for each other since their shoes were small enough for the playground.

Woods and Towns married after six years together at a private oceanfront estate in Malibu, California.
The bride reportedly wore a custom Danielle Frankel gown, while Towns paired his bespoke Louboutins with Ralph Lauren.
Their guest list was equally dressed for the occasion, with Kylie Jenner, Timothée Chalamet, Justin and Hailey Bieber among the famous faces reportedly joining the celebrations alongside several of Towns' NBA teammates.
For Smith, however, the wedding came with the added privilege of watching one of his oldest friends start a new chapter and leaving a little piece of his own work in the wedding album.
