Justin Bieber’s World Cup sneakers score big for charity. Christie's

Justin Bieber's footwear from the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final has proved to be a major draw at auction, with the trainers selling for $26,400 (approximately £19,600). The pair, worn by Bieber during the tournament's historic halftime show, was sold through Christie's as part of a charity auction supporting the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.

The sale also delivered a significant boost for the fund after Bieber's fashion label, SKYLRK, committed to matching the full auction price. That means the trainers generated about £39,000 in combined contributions when the sale and matching donation are considered together.

Justin Bieber's Trainers Sell for Nearly £20,000

The sneakers are a pair of SKYLRK Matter Daddy low-top trainers in the 'Latte' colourway, finished with light pink accents.

Christie's listed the trainers with an estimated value of $2,000 (£1,400) to $4,000 (£2,900), but they ended up selling for a much bigger $26,400 (£19,600). The auction house noted some minor wear and scuffs on the size 9 pair, showing they were actually worn during his live performance at the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show on 19 July in New Jersey, US.

The performance marked the first-ever halftime show at a World Cup final. Bieber appeared alongside a star-studded line-up including Madonna, BTS, Shakira and Burna Boy, while performing an acoustic version of Everything Hallelujah.

The auctioned trainers were particularly notable because the performance marked the debut of this Matter Daddy colourway. Bieber wore the shoes with other SKYLRK pieces, including a deconstructed green shirt, white polo, baggy denim shorts and ribbed socks.

How the Auction Is Helping Children Worldwide

The trainers were offered as part of Christie's One Goal: An Auction to Benefit the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which ran from 22 to 29 July. The wider auction brought in $652,630 (around £485,000), with proceeds supporting the fund's work.

FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund is a joint initiative between FIFA and Global Citizen that aims to raise $100 million (£74.33 million) to expand access to quality education and sport for children in underserved communities around the world.

The fund's beneficiaries are community-based and grassroots organisations working with children and young people in underserved communities. By July, 58 organisations across multiple countries had been supported, with their programmes expected to benefit more than 400,000 children worldwide.

Grants range from $50,000 to $250,000 (roughly £37,000 to £186,000). They support projects covering areas such as early childhood education, literacy, digital learning, girls' education, disability inclusion, teacher training, mental health and access to sport.

Christie's auction featured memorabilia and performance-worn items connected to the World Cup and its first-ever Final Halftime Show, including pieces worn by BTS and Madonna. Bieber's SKYLRK trainers became one of the standout lots despite starting with a relatively modest estimate.

Inside Justin Bieber's Fast-Growing Brand

Justin Bieber owns SKYLRK, which officially launched in July 2025 as his fashion and lifestyle brand. The label sells streetwear, footwear and accessories, including hoodies, tanks, beanies, slides, and sunglasses.

Despite being relatively new, SKYLRK has achieved notable commercial success. During Coachella 2026, the brand reportedly generated around $15 million (£11 million) in sales across the festival's two weekends, setting a new merchandise record.

Its growing profile, combined with Bieber's involvement and high-profile appearances, has quickly positioned SKYLRK as a significant name in celebrity-led fashion.
