Law Roach has admitted that he purposely gives different answers when people ask him about Zendaya and Tom Holland's marriage. The celebrity stylist says the 'white lies' are his way of keeping his longtime client's private life out of the spotlight.
The confession comes after months of mixed comments from Roach about whether Zendaya and Holland had already held their wedding. He first appeared to reveal the marriage in March, then later changed his story and said he would not tell people the truth about the couple's private plans.
Now, Roach has explained why. He says people should not expect him to share details about someone he loves simply because they ask.
Why Roach Tells 'White Lies'
Roach explained his unusual plan during the 22 September episode of the Outlaws with TS Madison podcast. Host TS Madison asked whether Zendaya had been upset with him after he appeared to reveal her marriage earlier this year. Roach said Zendaya instead found the situation funny.
'I'm still slightly spilling the tea about the wedding,' he said. He then pointed out that the public still cannot be sure what information from him is true. 'You don't know if that lady married or not.'
Roach said his changing answers are meant to protect Zendaya's personal life. He argued that people do not have the 'right' or 'agency' to question him about her private business. He added that whenever people ask, he plans to 'tell your ass something different.'
His Wedding Story Keeps Changing
The confusion began at the Actor Awards on 1 March, when Roach was asked about Zendaya's future wedding looks. Instead of talking about plans for a ceremony, he claimed the wedding had already taken place. When asked whether he was serious, Roach said it was 'very true.'
His comments quickly made headlines because Zendaya and Holland had kept details of their relationship largely private. At the time, neither star had publicly announced a wedding themselves. Roach repeated his claim in another red-carpet interview, adding to the attention around the couple.
Months later, however, Roach began giving very different answers. At the 2026 Emmys, he said he had 'actually lied' about the wedding, making it unclear which version of his story people were meant to believe.
Holland Confirmed Their Marriage
Roach may enjoy keeping reporters guessing, but Holland has since offered his own confirmation that he and Zendaya are married. In an interview published in June, the actor was asked about fake AI images that claimed to show the couple's wedding. He said his family knew the pictures were false because they had been at the real event.
When asked for more details, Holland kept his answer short. He did not reveal when or where the private ceremony took place. His comments gave the public confirmation of the marriage while still keeping most of the wedding itself private.
That approach fits the way Zendaya and Holland have handled much of their relationship. The pair met while working on Spider-Man: Homecoming and became the subject of romance reports before their relationship became public in 2021. Their engagement later became public after Zendaya appeared at the 2025 Golden Globes wearing a diamond ring.
Zendaya Found It Funny
Despite all the attention his comments created, Roach said Zendaya did not give him 'grief' over what happened. When TS Madison asked about her reaction, Roach simply replied, 'She thought it was funny.'
Their friendship goes far beyond picking outfits for red carpets. Roach has worked with Zendaya for more than a decade and has played a major role in creating some of her most iconic fashion moments. During the podcast, he also praised the actress for allowing him to be himself as his own public profile has grown.
Roach made one point especially clear: he does not believe working closely with Zendaya means he has to share her private information. His conflicting wedding stories, he explained, are intentional.
