New Love Island USA bombshell Alannah Keyser has recently sent fans into a frenzy after a resurfaced Snapchat video allegedly showed the 21-year-old Miami native using a racial slur at a party. What followed was a wave of online backlash, heated debate, and calls for her removal from the show.

Fans of the dating series were quick to react when the clip started circulating on social media, with many demanding that Keyser be removed from the villa. At the time, she was still appearing in pre-recorded episodes, which only fuelled the outrage. But behind the scenes, it seems production was already scrambling to respond.

Alannah Keyser Reportedly Cut From Show

Reportedly, executives heard the backlash loud and clear.

Because Love Island USA is filmed in advance, producers don't have the luxury of instantly removing a contestant once a controversy breaks. Instead, they reportedly had to work with what was already shot.

While Keyser couldn't be completely removed from already filmed scenes, her presence was reportedly reduced as much as possible. An insider told The US Sun that editors had already begun trimming her appearances when the resurfaced video gained attention online.

The same source added that Keyser would not appear in any future episodes, suggesting her time on the show ended earlier than expected.

'Producers were disappointed and embarrassed that this has become another mishap. They regret this has become another distraction from the crew's hard work and the cast members who are there for the right reasons,' the insider stated.

Fans React With Mockery and Satisfaction

Social media users quickly flooded online feeds with reactions to Keyser's reported exit from the dating series. Many expressed a mix of satisfaction, sarcasm, and blunt criticism.

One comment read: 'Been waiting for this one.' Another user took a more mocking tone, writing: 'She packed her bags faster than she could even unpack them.'

Others referenced broader behaviour seen on the show and online, with some claiming her actions contributed to the fallout. 'Ignoring all the Black men was weird enough as well,' an online user wrote.

Was the Reaction Too Harsh and Unfair?

Of course, where there's outrage, there's also pushback. A different corner of the internet argued that the situation had been blown out of proportion.

Some insisted the viral clip showed Keyser lip-syncing and not intentionally using a slur. Others used the moment to criticise what they see as 'cancel culture' moving too fast, especially when it comes to reality TV contestants who are still adjusting to sudden fame.

A user commented: 'Can't listen to music without getting canceled these days. Cancel culture works too damn fast.'

There were also viewers who expressed frustration with the fanbase itself, calling the reaction overly harsh. 'The fans are obnoxious and I think this is unfair because a lot of people in the house say the N-word,' another user claimed.

The debate quickly expanded beyond the show, turning into a broader argument about how social media clips are interpreted, shared, and judged.

What Sparked the Backlash

Alannah Keyser has come under fire after a resurfaced Snapchat video and alleged screenshots began circulating online shortly after her Love Island USA debut aired.

In the video, she was singing along to a music that includes the N-word in its lyrics. Separate screenshots shared on social media also allegedly show past messages attributed to her containing the same racial slur.

The N-word is widely recognised as a racist term due to its painful history rooted in slavery, segregation, and systemic discrimination against Black communities. Although it has been reclaimed in certain contexts within Black culture, its use by non-Black individuals is still widely viewed as offensive and harmful.
