Fans have linked Miley Cyrus to the 2027 Super Bowl Halftime Show Instagram/Miley

Miley Cyrus has been pulled into the growing speculation over who could headline the 2027 Super Bowl Halftime Show after fans claimed Apple Music briefly posted a mysterious teaser on Instagram before it disappeared. The brief appearance quickly fuelled speculation, with fans wondering if the cryptic post was a possible hint at who could take over the coveted halftime stage next.

Could Miley really be heading to the Super Bowl stage in 2027? Or was the mysterious Apple Music post simply a coincidence that sent fans chasing a rumour?

Fans Spot Deleted Super Bowl Teaser

A screenshot shared on X appeared to show the silhouette of a woman wearing a bedazzled corset-style top against a smoky, backlit background. The post reportedly carried only three emojis: a guitar, a black heart and a bouquet of flowers. One fan who shared the screenshot wrote: 'OMGGG DID THEY JUST DROP A CLUE AT THE HALFTIME PERFORMER AND THEN DELETE IT ???'

The alleged post quickly sent fans into a frenzy. One joked: 'NO WAY They really posted it, realized what they did, and hit delete immediately.' Another wrote: 'They definitely weren't supposed to let that slip. Somebody in the social media department is sweating right now 💀'.

Others quipped that the silhouette had already 'wrecked' them, while another joked that deleting the post was 'the real clue'.

However, there is no verified evidence that Apple Music actually published the teaser on their social media.

The Clues Pointing Towards Miley

The emojis have helped fuel the Miley theory. The guitar could point towards Miley's rock-influenced music, while the bouquet of flowers immediately reminds fans of her 2023 hit 'Flowers'. The black heart, meanwhile, has been interpreted by fans as another stylistic clue, although there is no official confirmation that any of the emojis were intended to reference Miley.

The speculation also gained momentum because some social media users had insisted that Miley had already been announced as the 2027 halftime performer. One fan said: 'I thought miley was already announced or was that fake?'

Yet, no official announcement naming her has been made by the National Football League (NFL), Apple Music or the singer herself.

Meanwhile, one user attempted to correct the rumour, writing: 'Just so everyone knows that Miley "announcement" was fake. Nothing is official. In fact they are having a hard time finding someone.'

The Halftime Show's Massive Cultural Impact

The Super Bowl Halftime Show is one of the biggest stages in live music, giving a major artist a global audience during the NFL's championship game. Apple Music became the show's presenting sponsor in 2023, working alongside the NFL and Roc Nation.

Over the years, the performance has produced some of pop culture's most widely discussed live moments.

Rihanna's 2023 show became a major talking point after she revealed her pregnancy during the performance, while Usher's 2024 set brought together a string of his biggest hits and surprise appearances. Kendrick Lamar's 2025 performance with SZA also became the most-watched Super Bowl Halftime Show at the time, according to the NFL.

And most recently, Bad Bunny headlined the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show, bringing his Puerto Rican and Latin music influences to the NFL's biggest stage.

For now, Miley Cyrus remains a fan favourite rather than the confirmed choice. Until the NFL, Apple Music or Miley makes an official announcement, the mysterious silhouette is best viewed as an unverified internet clue—not a proof of who will take the stage.
