Celine Dion Takes Over the L'Oréal Runway
Dion's appearance was not announced as part of the show's regular runway lineup. She surprised attendees when she emerged at the end of L'Oréal Paris's 'Express Your Worth' show at Place Joffre as Paris Fashion Week got underway.
The show brought together high-profile stars from entertainment and sport, with celebrities showcasing custom designer looks as part of L'Oréal Paris's annual catwalk celebration.
Supermodel Kendall Jenner also featured prominently in the international lineup of L'Oréal Paris ambassadors and celebrities. She turned heads in a sheer black dress featuring a high neckline and dramatic thigh-high slit, styled with silky ivory lingerie underneath and minimalist black stiletto sandals.
For Dion, the appearance brought together two sides of her career: music and fashion. She has continued to attract attention for her style during her time in the French capital, with recent looks featuring pieces from fashion houses including Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, Loewe, Givenchy and Tom Ford. A Major Moment in Dion's Return to the Stage
The appearance came during a busy period in Paris for the Quebec-born artist. Dion is currently holding a 26-show residency in the French capital, having returned to the concert stage on 12 September for her first full concert in more than six years.
She opened the residency at the Plenitude Arena in Nanterre, marking her first full show since March 2020. The residency includes 26 performances, with shows scheduled through May 2027.
Dion's return to regular live performance follows several years in which health issues affected her ability to work. In 2022, she revealed that she had been diagnosed with Stiff-Person Syndrome (SPS), a rare neurological condition that affected her ability to perform on stage. She later documented her experience and efforts to return to performing in the 2024 documentary I Am: Celine Dion. The film gave viewers a closer look at the challenges she faced while attempting to resume her career.
Her surprise appearance at the L'Oréal show therefore comes at a significant point in her return to the spotlight, allowing her to combine her renewed presence on stage with the fashion world she has long been associated with.
With Paris Fashion Week continuing through 6 October, Dion's performance added another high-profile moment to her time in the French capital, as she continues her residency and return to live performance.
