Tennis has rules. Paris Hilton apparently has one too: if you are going to watch people serve, you might as well serve something yourself.
Hilton arrived at the US Open women's singles final on Saturday dressed as though tenniscore had been given a trust fund. The heiress paired preppy red, white, and navy separates from Thom Browne and Gucci with crystal-covered accessories. The Hector dog handbag by Thom Browne kept the aesthetic light and quirky.
She arrived at the women's singles final with husband Carter Reum, who also dressed to the nines, looking like an equal courtside 10. From the pleats, varsity stripes, crystal embellishments, and playful bag, Hilton brought her own game to the match.
Paris Hilton Takes Tenniscore to Prep School
The 45-year-old socialite leaned wholeheartedly into the occasion with a red Thom Browne cable-knit vest featuring a plunging V-neck and the label's signature red, white, and navy striped trim.
She layered it with a coordinating navy cardigan, also finished with striped detailing, while a pleated navy Gucci mini skirt gave the ensemble the unmistakable tennis-uniform energy the occasion demanded. Tennis uniforms may have evolved over the years, but Hilton happily brought the classic pleated skirt back to centre court.
Overall, the outfit would look right at home at a country club or even at the baseline itself. Keeping the theme in the family, Hilton also featured her two children in adorable courtside-ready looks in an Instagram reel.
Her accessories ensured there was little danger of the look becoming too serious. Hilton added narrow black Swarovski sunglasses, a glittering red choker, and crystal-embellished René Caovilla pumps.
Her Handbag Came With Four Legs
The bag easily became the focal point of her tennis-core ensemble. Hilton carried Thom Browne's Mini Hector bag, a red pebble-grain leather accessory sculpted into the shape of a dachshund. Complete with four little legs, a snout, and a gold-tone chain, the canine companion coordinated perfectly with Hilton's knitwear. Frankly, an ordinary rectangular purse suddenly seemed almost disappointingly sensible versus the gorgeous impracticality of unconventional arm candy.
Hilton attended the match with her husband, Carter Reum, as the pair joined a packed celebrity crowd at Arthur Ashe Stadium. The US Open stands were also seating Amy Adams, Elizabeth Banks, Pink, Leslie Bibb, Minka Kelly, Rami Malek, Bella Thorne, and other stars with a penchant for a grand slam.
Tennis Had a New Champion, Too
There was, admittedly, some actual tennis happening beneath all the celebrity fashion sightings.
Elena Rybakina defeated two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 to win her first US Open title. The victory also capped a major fortnight for Rybakina, who clinched the world No. 1 ranking during the tournament.
Still, Hilton understood the unofficial spectator assignment perfectly. Tennis-core has spent years escaping the court and invading everyday wardrobes, but wearing it to an actual major tennis tournament brings the trend neatly back home.
Hilton went all in on the preppy trend, mixing pleats and varsity stripes with enough crystals to disqualify subtlety altogether. After all, the stars may be blind, but Paris clearly still has an eye for bling.
Game, set, outfit.
