New York Fashion Week is almost back, with some of fashion's biggest names preparing to take over New York City. The official Spring/Summer 2027 schedule will run from Thursday, 10 September, to Tuesday, 15 September 2026. The preliminary calendar includes 70 runway shows and designer presentations, along with additional collections shown digitally or by appointment.
This season brings major returns, new designers and Henry Zankov's first show as artistic director of Diane von Furstenberg. Michael Kors Collection, Tommy Hilfiger, Tory Burch, Calvin Klein Collection, Carolina Herrera, Khaite, Anna Sui and Thom Browne are among the names on the calendar. Several other designers are also scheduled to show on 9 September, one day before the official six-day event begins.
NYFW Dates Are Set
The CFDA Fashion Calendar confirms that New York Fashion Week will officially take place from 10 to 15 September 2026. The event will focus on Spring/Summer 2027 collections and run for six days, making New York the first of the four major fashion cities to stage its main September womenswear week.

One of the season's biggest debuts will come at the start of the official schedule, when Henry Zankov presents his first collection as artistic director of Diane von Furstenberg. The DVF show is set for Thursday, 10 September, while Thom Browne will take the closing slot on Tuesday, 15 September.
Zankov was named artistic director of Diane von Furstenberg in May 2026 after previously working with the fashion house more than a decade ago. His role covers the brand's collections and wider visual identity, while he will continue running his namesake Zankov label. That brand is also scheduled to show during NYFW on Monday, 14 September.
Big Names Return
The fashion action will begin before the official opening date. Ralph Lauren is set to present his Spring 2027 collection on Wednesday, 9 September, while Coach, Rachel Comey, Cult Gaia, J. Press and Libertine are also listed to show that day. Rachel Comey's appearance comes as her label marks its 25th anniversary.
Thursday's official opening day includes Diane von Furstenberg, TWP, Proenza Schouler, Bad Binch TongTong, Tommy Hilfiger, Kallmeyer, Christian Siriano, Tory Burch and Public School New York. Alice + Olivia and LoveShackFancy are listed with presentations rather than traditional runway shows, while New York Men's Day will add a separate group of menswear labels to the programme.
Friday, 11 September, includes Michael Kors Collection, Calvin Klein Collection, Wiederhoeft, Jane Wade, Christian Cowan, Monse, Kim Shui, Simkhai and Eckhaus Latta, among others. The CFDA says Friday's official schedule will begin at 10am out of respect for the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
Monse, threeASFOUR and Tommy Hilfiger are also among the brands the CFDA has identified as returning to the official schedule this season.
New Designers Join New York Fashion Week
Some of the most closely watched collections may come from designers appearing on the official NYFW schedule for the first time. The CFDA has named 10 designers and brands as newcomers for September 2026, ranging from emerging talent to names already established outside New York's official calendar.
The newcomers are Benjamin Seidler, Conner Ives, Grey's by Emily Grey, High Sport by Alissa Zachary and Hikari no Yami by Jakarie Whitaker. Magda Butrym, Max Esmail, Patrick Taylor, Sabyasachi by Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Zaldy complete the group.
Several 2026 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists will also have a stronger presence on the calendar. Bad Binch TongTong by Terrence Zhou, Jamie Haller and Milamore by George Inaki are appearing on it for the first time, joining finalists Aisling Camps, Amir Taghi, Lii by Zane Li and Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen. Their collections will be shown through a mixture of runway shows, presentations and appointment-based formats.
Fur-Free Rule Starts
Spring/Summer 2027 will also mark an important change for designers appearing on the official calendar. Beginning with the September 2026 season, animal fur will no longer be permitted in collections shown on the Official NYFW Schedule. The CFDA formally introduced the policy in late 2025.
The rule covers farmed or trapped fur from animals killed primarily for their pelts, including mink, fox, rabbit, karakul lamb, chinchilla, coyote and raccoon dog. The CFDA will also stop promoting collections containing such fur through its Fashion Calendar, website and social media channels.
An exception remains for animal fur obtained by Indigenous communities through traditional subsistence hunting.
The CFDA has also held discussions about alternative materials designers can use instead of animal fur. These include newer plant-based and bio-based options, as well as other materials designed to create a fur-like appearance without traditional animal fur. September will be the first official NYFW season in which the new policy is in force.
