Olivia Rodrigo has found a surprisingly simple solution to one of music festivals' most painful traditions: making fans choose between the artists they paid to see.
The full schedule for Rodrigo's inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival has arrived, and there is not a single overlapping set in sight. The smart move has fans calling it 'planned by women.'
Taking place at Great Park in Irvine, California, on 29 August, the all-women festival will alternate performances between its aptly named Dandelion and Marigold stages. That means attendees can theoretically catch every artist on the line-up without sacrificing one set for another. Thanks to this simple yet groundbreaking timetable arrangement, Rodrigo has successfully made FOMO (fear of missing out) a thing of the past.
For anyone who has ever sprinted across festival grounds while internally crying over missing the final 20 minutes of somebody else's performance, consider this your safe space. At Daisy Chain Fields, the only thing fans need to pick is their favourite flower.
Two Stages, Zero Musical Sacrifices
The music begins on the Marigold Stage with Quiet Light at 11:20am before Eli takes over the Dandelion Stage at 11:50am.
From there, the day ping-pongs between stages with Rachel Chinouriri, Santigold, Die Spitz, KATSEYE, Bikini Kill, Mitski, The Breeders, Doechii, Garbage, and Chappell Roan all scheduled in succession. Each artist gets a solo spotlight without splitting fans' attention.
Not For Radio will perform from 7:50pm until 8:30pm on the Marigold Stage, leaving a ten-minute window before Rodrigo closes the festival on the Dandelion stage.
The 'Vampire' singer gets the night's longest slot, taking the stage at 8:40pm and performing until 10pm alongside some rather formidable special guests.
Karen O, Sarah McLachlan, and Stevie Nicks are all expected to join Rodrigo during her headlining set.
Suddenly, those ten minutes between stages look less like downtime and more like a cardio challenge. A welcome cardio challenge, at that.

Naturally, fans noticed the suspicious absence of scheduling heartbreak immediately. It wasn't long before the comment section was fully booked with people giving Olivia Rodrigo her flowers (daisies, obviously) to celebrate her knack for artist lineup curation.
'NO OVERLAPS??? OLIVIAAAA THE SET LIST QUEEN THAT YOU ARE,' one person exclaimed beneath Daisy Chain Fields' Instagram schedule announcement.
Another celebrated the concept as 'no overlaps no conflicts just women and music!!', while someone else declared, 'No overlaps just set the new gold standard for festivals.'
Perhaps the most succinct assessment simply read: 'planned by women.'
Others were already preparing for the logistics. 'me running stage to stage,' one fan joked, while another celebrated the possibility of actually seeing everyone: 'Olivia knows how to make a setlist, literally no overlap? Actually possible to go to all the sets? Woww.'
The arrangement did raise one rather reasonable question: why have two stages at all if nobody performs simultaneously?
One commenter suggested the alternating set-up could allow crews to prepare one stage while another artist performs, potentially keeping the music moving without lengthy changeovers.

The scheduling choice fits rather neatly with the wider purpose behind Daisy Chain Fields.
The festival's entire bill is made up of women artists, bringing together generations and corners of music that rarely appear on one line-up. Rodrigo previously announced that 100% of the event's net proceeds will benefit charities working to advance and advocate for women and girls.
And judging by the reaction to its first timetable, Daisy Chain Fields may have stumbled upon another way to make festival-goers happy.
There will be no frantic timecheck clashes, no choosing favourites, and no hoping you could clone yourself to be at two stages at once. More importantly, you won't be watching one performance wondering whether you have made a terrible mistake because somebody three fields away just started playing your favourite song.
FOMO has officially been removed from the line-up.
