Rob Schneider has taken another swipe at Mark Ruffalo. This time, it is over the Avengers star's controversial criticism of the proposed Paramount-Warner Bros Discovery merger and its links to the Israel-Gaza war.

After sharing a link on X about Ruffalo's comments on the controversial merger, Schneider wrote: 'Of course this Leftist Pro-terrorist coward Mark Ruffalo never mentions October 7th and the Hamas Terrorists that murdered, raped, burned, and took hostage 1,700 unarmed Israeli women, children, babies and men!'

Schneider's wording reflects his own claim about the said attack. According to widely reported figures, the Hamas-led attack killed around 1,200 people in Israel and saw around 250 people taken hostage.

Fans Turn on Schneider for Attacking Ruffalo

The post quickly drew attention beyond the argument over Ruffalo, with some people online questioning why Schneider continues to land major Hollywood roles.

That conversation is particularly timely because Schneider is currently filming Grown Ups 3 with Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Kevin James and David Spade. Netflix confirmed earlier this month that Schneider is returning as Rob, with the long-awaited sequel now filming in New Jersey, US.

On Reddit, critics reacted angrily to Schneider's comments, with one writing: 'F*** Rob Schneider, I don't understand why people still support that piece of trash.'

Some people even brought Sandler into the debate, saying he should face more criticism for continuing to work with Schneider. 'Sandler is an ultra-rich Republican Zionist whose wife's father (lawyer) famously defended Jean-Luc Brunel, a close friend of Jeffrey Epstein,' one comment read.

The Merger Controversy and Its Israel-Gaza Link

Ruffalo's original comments centred on the proposed Paramount Skydance acquisition of Warner Bros Discovery, a deal worth roughly £82 billion based on the reported $111 billion valuation. He has opposed the merger over concerns about media consolidation, jobs and editorial independence.

But his latest criticism also brought the Israel-Gaza conflict into the conversation.

Ruffalo shared a video of Oracle executive vice-chair Safra Catz discussing the company's support for Israel following the 7 October Hamas attack. Oracle founder Larry Ellison is the father of David Ellison, Paramount Skydance's chief executive and a key figure behind the proposed Warner Bros deal.

Ruffalo then criticised the Ellisons' business connections to Oracle and accused the technology company of contributing to what he described as 'genocide' and an 'apartheid system' in Gaza. Paramount hit back, accusing Ruffalo of using antisemitic tropes and saying his comments crossed a line.

Ruffalo rejected the accusation, insisting that criticism of the Israeli government, military technology contracts and corporate relationships should not be equated with hostility towards Jewish people.

So, while the merger itself is a business deal, Ruffalo connected it to the Israel-Gaza war because of Oracle's relationship with Israel and the Ellison family's connection to Paramount.

Schneider Has Targeted Ruffalo Before

This isn't the first time Schneider has taken a jab at Ruffalo.

In December 2025, Schneider complained about what he saw as a Hollywood double standard, arguing that Ruffalo could criticise Donald Trump and still find work while Schneider claimed his own political views had hurt his career.

'Mark Ruffalo could say whatever he wants against Trump and he'll still get work as an actor,' Schneider said at the time. 'But if an actor like me... dares question the tribe of Democrats, that's it. You're out of Hollywood.'

Now, months later, the two actors are back in the headlines for another political clash—with Schneider once again questioning Ruffalo's views while Ruffalo remains at the centre of the heated Paramount-Warner Bros controversy.
