Los Angeles social media influencer and model Adva Lavie has been re-arrested in Beverly Hills while awaiting trial on felony burglary charges. She gained widespread attention after being accused of stealing from wealthy suitors she met on online dating apps.
The 28-year-old model also operates under the alias Mia Ventura. She was taken into custody on Tuesday evening by Beverly Hills police officers near North Cannon Boulevard. Her latest arrest stems from an outstanding grand theft warrant issued in neighbouring Riverside County.
This arrest comes alongside an alleged breach of her court-mandated release conditions. Prosecutors contend that Lavie violated the terms of her electronic monitoring programme by deliberately removing her tracking ankle monitor. A Superior Court judge in Van Nuys revoked her release agreement. They ordered her held in custody without bond pending a formal bail review hearing.
Re-Arrested for Theft
The Riverside County warrant centres on allegations originating from the 2025 Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California. According to official court filings, prosecutors charged Lavie in April with felony grand theft after she allegedly stole more than $11,000 (£8,200) in luxury goods from an acquaintance's rented accommodation.
Investigators allege that following an argument between the pair, Lavie accessed the victim's unlocked Tesla Cybertruck.
She allegedly removed an $8,600 Rolex wristwatch, Louis Vuitton designer sunglasses, and a leather cardholder before departing.
Closed-circuit television footage from the property identified Lavie. A $20,000 (£15,000) arrest warrant was issued when she failed to appear for her scheduled court arraignment in May.
This latest incident compounds existing legal troubles for the influencer. She is already awaiting trial on a six-count felony indictment in Los Angeles County involving charges of grand theft and residential burglary.
Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department state that between 2023 and 2025, Lavie engaged in a systematic series of offences targeting affluent individuals.
A Thief of Hearts and of Money
Authorities claim she utilised dating applications and matchmaking websites to pose as a romantic partner or travelling companion. In doing so, she has secured entry into luxury residences across West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Westlake Village.
Once inside, she allegedly stole cash, credit cards, gold bullion, and high-value designer jewellery.
According to the report, Lavie not only targeted older men met online—she allegedly stole from younger men, women, and businesses as well. Her targets were reportedly luxury goods, including designer purses and high-end clothing.
Under Public Scrutiny
The ongoing criminal proceedings have attracted additional public scrutiny due to the involvement of her fiancé, billionaire businessman Stephen Cloobeck.
Cloobeck was arrested earlier this year on felony charges related to alleged witness tampering after law enforcement officials accused him of attempting to dissuade witnesses from testifying against Lavie in court. Law enforcement agencies have also indicated that further potential victims have come forward with similar allegations as investigations into her activities across Southern California continue.
Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman noted that state prosecutors will show in court how trust established through personal relationships was systematically abused to gain access to victims' private homes and property.
If convicted on all initial Los Angeles counts, Lavie faces a maximum potential sentence of 11 years and eight months in state prison. She currently remains held without bail as legal representatives prepare for upcoming court appearances.
