Eugenie Bouchard appears to have found love again after the former tennis star was spotted enjoying a romantic escape with OpenAI executive Ian Hathaway during a luxury holiday in Italy's picturesque Lake Como.

The 32-year-old Canadian was seen sharing affectionate moments with Hathaway as the pair soaked up the sunshine at one of Europe's most glamorous destinations. They were photographed holding hands, taking a leisurely stroll, and enjoying intimate moments together in a swimming pool, adding fuel to speculation that a new romance is blossoming.

The getaway came shortly after Bouchard impressed viewers with her television debut during this year's Wimbledon Championships, where she earned praise for her insightful analysis and confident on-screen presence as part of the BBC's coverage.

A New Romance After a New Career Chapter

Bouchard looked effortlessly elegant in a cream mini dress as she relaxed beside Hathaway against the stunning backdrop of Lake Como, long regarded as a favourite retreat for celebrities and high-profile figures.

Hathaway, who now leads the OpenAI Startup Fund, began his career as an economist before joining the investment arm of the artificial intelligence company behind ChatGPT in 2021. He assumed leadership of the fund in 2024 after OpenAI chief executive Sam Altman stepped away from overseeing its investment portfolio.

The OpenAI Startup Fund invests in promising early-stage artificial intelligence companies across sectors such as healthcare, education, law, energy, and infrastructure, positioning Hathaway at the forefront of emerging AI innovation.

For Bouchard, the apparent new relationship marks another significant milestone following her retirement from professional tennis in 2025. The former Wimbledon finalist has since begun carving out a successful broadcasting career while remaining closely connected to the sport that made her a household name.

In 2024, she was previously linked to several high-profile figures, including Jack Brinkley-Cook, the son of American model Christie Brinkley. Before that, she dated former NFL quarterback Mason Rudolph for two years before the pair reportedly split in 2022. Earlier relationships included investment banker Conor Davis and former professional ice hockey player Jordan Caron.

Wimbledon Success Wins Over Viewers

While her Italian getaway has generated headlines, Bouchard has also been earning widespread acclaim for her work away from the tennis court.

Her appearances throughout the BBC's Wimbledon coverage proved popular with viewers, many of whom praised both her tennis knowledge and natural broadcasting style on social media.

One fan wrote: 'Amazing commentary and amazing doubles with Annett. Please come back next year for both! From a UK viewer.'

Another commented: 'You were great on the BBC, please come back next year.'

A third viewer posted: 'Thank you for the great analysis and commentary, you have been a breath of fresh air! Massively improved the BBC commentary team, see you in the same place next year!'

Another admirer added: 'Been an absolute pleasure seeing her ooze class on socials and during the Wimbledon coverage all week. She spoke so well on the BBC coverage when courtside too.'

Despite being based in Miami, Bouchard amused fans by sharing her struggle with the summer heat in Britain during her stay in London for Wimbledon.

'I know there's been a lot of US/Europe AC discourse recently and some think we've probably talked about it enough', she wrote.

'But I am here to tell you that we have NOT been in the UK less than 24 hours and I feel like I'm on an episode of Survivor.

'I brushed my teeth last night while sweating profusely, slept without any blankets and I normally run cold!

'Genuinely curious as to what the reason for this is. Who can enlighten me?'

With a flourishing broadcasting career gathering momentum and a new romance seemingly unfolding on the shores of Lake Como, Bouchard appears to be embracing an exciting new chapter both professionally and personally.
