Knox Jolie-Pitt has made a dramatic style statement with fiery red hair and shaved blond sides as he remains one of only two of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's six children still using the Pitt surname. The 18-year-old showed off his striking new look while out in Los Angeles on Monday, 10 August.

Knox sported spiked red hair with the sides shaved and dyed blond, giving him a noticeably edgier appearance. He kept the rest of his outfit casual in a cream T-shirt, black shorts, white socks and Crocs as he jogged through the city.

His bold transformation comes as attention continues to surround the Jolie-Pitt family, particularly the decisions made by several of his siblings to distance themselves from their father's surname.

While Knox continues to use Jolie-Pitt, his twin sister Vivienne and siblings Shiloh, Zahara and Maddox have all moved away from using 'Pitt' in different ways.

Knox Stands Apart From His Siblings

Knox and his twin sister Vivienne are the youngest of Jolie and Pitt's six children. But the twins have taken different approaches to their family name.

Knox continues to go by Jolie-Pitt, while Vivienne has been using Jolie professionally. She was credited as Vivienne Jolie while working as a production assistant on the Broadway musical The Outsiders and later filed to remove 'Pitt' from her surname legally.

Shiloh was the first of the siblings to pursue the change. She filed a petition to remove 'Pitt' from her name on her 18th birthday in May 2024, with the request granted three months later. Zahara followed, filing a petition to remove the surname in April, while Maddox also filed for a name change in May.

That leaves Knox and his 22-year-old brother Pax as the only two of Pitt's children who still use the surname, making Knox's decision particularly notable as he steps further into adulthood.

There has been no indication that Knox's dramatic new hairstyle is connected to his siblings' decisions over the family name. Instead, the red-haired transformation appears to be a personal style choice, giving the normally private teenager a rare moment in the spotlight.

The new look also marks a significant departure from the appearance Knox has previously been seen sporting in public, with the vivid red shade and spiked styling making him stand out as he went about his day in Los Angeles.

Pitt Reportedly Hurt by Name Changes

The changes have reportedly been difficult for Pitt, who has faced years of strained relationships with some of his children following his split from Jolie.

The former couple separated in 2016 after two years of marriage and finalised their divorce in December 2024 following a lengthy legal battle.

An insider previously claimed Pitt was particularly hurt by his children choosing not to publicly associate themselves with his surname. 'He feels most hurt out of everything that happened with Angie that his children don't want a public association with his last name,' the source said.

The insider also said Pitt continued to hope for reconciliation with his children, while recognising that they are now adults and have the freedom to make their own decisions.

'He has no power and he can't force them' to keep his surname, the source added.

For now, Knox remains one of the few Jolie-Pitt children still carrying the name, but his latest appearance shows that he is certainly not afraid to forge his own identity.

With his fiery red spikes and shaved blond sides, the teenager has made sure his latest look is impossible to miss, even as his family continues to attract attention over the changing relationship between the children and their famous father.
