Kylie Kelce has admitted she would have to clean up her famously colourful language if Kate Middleton ever accepted her invitation to appear on her podcast. The Not Gonna Lie host recently invited the Princess of Wales to join her show, suggesting they could chat about everything from motherhood to their shared love of field hockey.

But if the royal actually took her up on the offer, Kylie knows there would be at least one major adjustment to her usual podcast style.

Kylie Knows Her Vocabulary May Need an Edit

'I love a curse word. I love it so, so much. I love curse words. You guys know that,' Kylie said on the 1 October episode of Not Gonna Lie. However, she insisted she knows when it is appropriate to rein in her language.

Kylie Kelce addresses the reaction to her invitation to Kate Middleton and apologises for a royal gaffe

'Would I curse at her face? No,' she said. 'I love curse words. You guys know that. But at the end of the day, I am respectful of the situations that I am put in, at least being respectful to the people I am speaking to.'

The comments came after Kylie addressed her recent invitation to Kate, as well as her decision to apologise for initially referring to the royal as 'Princess Kate'.

The Invitation Came With a Few Things in Common

During the 25 September episode of her podcast, Kylie invited the royal to come on for a conversation about 'some field hockey and maybe kids', adding, 'We got a couple things in common.'

She also referenced the appearance Prince William made on her husband Jason Kelce and brother-in-law Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast earlier this year.

William appeared on New Heights in July, where he spoke with the Kelce brothers about everything from his sporting interests to his children and his connection to Taylor Swift. He also recalled attending Swift's Eras Tour show at Wembley in 2024 with Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

That means Kylie's royal podcast pitch would not exactly be breaking entirely new ground for the family. Still, Kylie acknowledged that she may need to make a few changes if the Princess of Wales ever does appear.

Kylie Also Corrected Herself on Kate's Title

After a commenter told her that 'Princess Catherine is too refined and beautiful to be subjected to your cursing' and that she would need to 'clean up your act', Kylie conceded.

'First of all, you're correct. Agreed,' she said.

Kylie also took the opportunity to correct how she addresses Kate following her original invitation.

'I was unaware that calling Princess Catherine, Princess Kate was offensive,' she said. 'I didn't know that. Now I know that.'

She then apologised directly to the royal and said she would use 'Princess Catherine' or 'the Princess of Wales' going forward.

Kate has long been publicly known as both Kate and Catherine. Her formal title is Catherine, Princess of Wales, while 'Kate Middleton' remains widely used, including in headlines, more than two decades after she first entered the public eye.

The name distinction predates her marriage to William. Royal biographer Robert Jobson previously wrote that Kate reportedly asked friends in 2008 to call her Catherine rather than Kate, although it remains unclear whether that reflected a personal preference or was connected to preparations for her future public role.

She's Not Expecting the Royal To Say Yes

As for whether Kylie actually expects the Princess of Wales to appear on Not Gonna Lie, she is keeping her expectations realistic.

'Do I think she has time to hop on this podcast? No, I do not. I don't think that,' Kylie said. But that hasn't stopped her from making the invitation.

'I would love to speak to the Princess of Wales,' she added, pointing to their shared experiences as mothers and their connection to field hockey.

And if the royal ever does accept, Kylie already seems to know the first rule of royal podcast etiquette: apparently, the curse words are staying off the microphone.
