The virtual pop girlies are clocking back in. K/DA, the fictional music group born from League of Legends, is entering a new era with 'FIRESTARTER', its first major music release in six years, alongside a new EP, potential in-game skins and an unexpected collaboration with luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton.
Created by Riot Games, K/DA features four of the game's most recognisable champions: Ahri, Akali, Evelynn and Kai'Sa. The group made its debut in 2018 with 'POP/STARS', which quickly became a viral hit and established the characters as virtual pop idols with their own fandom, fashion identity and chart-worthy ambitions.
Now, K/DA is ready for another main-character moment. Between its latest music video, new vocal talent and an art book exploring the group's fictional world, the comeback proves that virtual idols can have just as much cultural pull as their real-life counterparts.
K/DA Enters Its 'FIRESTARTER' Era
The 'FIRESTARTER' music video arrived on 18 October (Pacific Time) and 19 October 2026 globally, setting the stage for the group's self-titled EP, scheduled for release on 21 October 2026. It marks K/DA's first major musical comeback since its 2020 project, ALL OUT.
Fans will recognise familiar voices behind two of the group's members. MIYEON and SOYEON of South Korean girl group i-dle return as the voices of Ahri and Akali, respectively. Meanwhile, Sophie Powers and Mimi Webb join the lineup as the new vocalists for Evelynn and Kai'Sa.
The visual side of the comeback also has a major name attached. Fortiche, the French animation studio behind Arcane, produced the animated music video, while choreographer Sean Bankhead contributed to the performance direction.
With its established lineup meeting fresh talent, K/DA is giving fans a comeback that feels both nostalgic and ready for a new generation of listeners. The full EP is expected to offer more of the group's signature blend of pop production, polished visuals and virtual idol spectacle.
New Skins Could Bring K/DA's Glow-Up Into the Game
Of course, a K/DA comeback would not feel complete without the possibility of a fresh in-game makeover. The group's signature looks have always been part of its appeal, turning Ahri, Akali, Evelynn and Kai'Sa into virtual fashion icons with stage-ready outfits and instantly recognisable aesthetics.
New K/DA-themed skins would give players another way to bring the group's latest era into their matches. However, details about potential new cosmetics, including designs and release dates, should be treated as unconfirmed unless Riot Games announces them officially.
Still, the timing has fans looking forward to what could come next. K/DA has consistently blurred the lines between gaming, music and fashion, making a new visual drop a natural extension of its comeback era.
Louis Vuitton Gives K/DA a Luxury Fashion Moment
The music is not the only headline-worthy part of K/DA's return. Riot Games and Louis Vuitton have also teamed up on Tempo Point, a travel book featuring Ahri, Akali, Evelynn and Kai'Sa.

Released on 16 October, the book follows the four characters through an imagined city over a 24-hour period. Instead of focusing on their usual superstar personas, the project explores a more everyday side of their fictional lives through illustrated storytelling.
The collaboration forms part of Louis Vuitton's Travel Book series, which invites artists to reinterpret destinations through their own creative perspectives. In this case, the destination is fictional, giving K/DA's universe a fresh canvas beyond music videos and the game itself.
According to reported product details, the standard edition costs US$68 (£51), while a large-format collector's edition is priced at US$245 (£184), with a limited run of 400 copies. The book is available through Louis Vuitton's website, selected stores and participating bookstores.
The partnership also builds on the brands' previous collaboration around the 2019 League of Legends World Championship. This time, the focus is firmly on K/DA's own universe, bringing virtual pop culture into the luxury publishing space.
K/DA Is More Than a Gaming Crossover
K/DA's staying power comes from its ability to exist beyond the game that created it. What started as a virtual music project has evolved into a pop culture brand with its own aesthetic, vocal performers and fashion connections.
The group's return also reflects the growing crossover between gaming fandoms, K-pop-inspired visuals and virtual entertainment. Fans are no longer just playing as their favourite champions; they can follow their musical releases, collect themed cosmetics and explore their fictional lives through collaborations like Tempo Point.
With 'FIRESTARTER' out, the EP arriving on 21 October and Louis Vuitton bringing the group into the world of collectible art books, K/DA is serving a comeback with multiple ways for fans to get involved.

With new music, fashion-forward visuals and a Louis Vuitton collab in the mix, K/DA is proving that virtual idols can still dominate the pop culture conversation. The girls are back, and this time, they are taking their star power beyond the Rift.
