The actor, who plays Gabriel in the Netflix series, shared an Instagram carousel following the wrap of its sixth and final season. Among the photos was Bravo sitting on a director's chair marked 'Fin', the French word for 'end', on a Parisian street. His caption was just as brief: 'And just like that.... 🤍'
For a show built around Emily Cooper's adventures, questionable romantic decisions, and an enviable wardrobe, however, some fans found one thing particularly difficult to overlook. Lily Collins, who plays the titular character, was nowhere to be seen in the photos they were examining.
Was she at work? Having brunch with Mindy? Having a crisis about love? Saving the day with a selfie? Ordering pain au chocolat with an American accent? Whatever the reason, fans didn't shy away from asking Chef Gabriel if something was cooking, aside from that Michelin star.
Fans Want To Know Where Emily Went
The comments quickly noticed the absence of Lily Collins, especially given that Lucas Bravo portrays the role of Emily Cooper's love interest.
'No single picture with your co star emily?' one fan asked, while another wrote, 'Why no Emily in your photos?'
A third went straight to the point: 'WHERE IS EMILY?'
Others were a little more diplomatic about their disappointment. 'Very nice fin-pictures but I cannot see Emily/Lily Collins,' one commenter observed.
As a tiny Easter egg before the fandom declares their version of a French Revolution, one of the images did feature a quirky cookie that resembled a movie slate or clapperboard. Based on the words sugared onto the on-brand confection, this was likely a gift from Collins to Bravo and the other cast members and crew.
The questions were hardly surprising. Gabriel has been a major part of Emily's romantic storyline since the beginning, and viewers have spent years wondering whether the pair will finally get their timing right.
Still, the absence of a photograph is just that. Bravo's carousel offers no explanation for his photo selection, and it would be quite a leap to turn an Instagram omission into an off-screen drama. Besides, some fans were far too busy campaigning for their favourite chef to worry about the guest list.

Team Gabriel Is Not Ready To Say Goodbye
While Collins's absence caught attention, Bravo's post also gave fans a chance to thank him for bringing Gabriel to life. One admirer praised the character's struggle between his culinary ambitions and his feelings for Emily, writing that Bravo played him with 'so much nuance, warmth, and quiet intensity'.
Another simply wrote, 'thank you for being our Gabriel'. For some viewers, the farewell came with one final request. 'I hope that Gabriel ends up with Emily!! Is the only thing I ask for,' a fan commented.
Another wanted the series to finish with the pair getting married, proving that six seasons of romantic complications have done absolutely nothing to discourage Team Gabriel.
Coming in Haute One More Time
Netflix confirmed in May that the sixth season would be the show's last. Filming wrapped in September, with Collins also sharing an emotional goodbye to Emily Cooper after seven years with the character.
As for Emily and Gabriel's ending, fans will have to wait until Christmas Eve to discover whether their long-running romance gets the farewell they want.
