Spice Girl Mel C (Melanie Chisholm) has tied the knot with her long-term partner, Australian model Chris Dingwall, following a spectacular series of wedding celebrations spanning two continents. The 52-year-old pop icon looked absolutely breathtaking at her main lakeside reception in the scenic English Lake District. For the special occasion, the legendary singer wore a bridal gown that was both stunning and deeply sentimental: a custom ivory silk slip dress designed and gifted by her close friend and former bandmate, Victoria Beckham.

The Spice Girls announced an indefinite hiatus in December 2000, which led to their official breakup in February 2001. Despite this, the former bandmates maintained a close friendship and still kept in touch through the years. They often celebrated each other's milestones. It was Victoria's quick thinking that saved the bride's fashion emergency.

The dress was featured in British vogue.

A 'Something Borrowed' Look

Before the main English celebration, the happy couple held a private legal ceremony in Sydney, Australia. Two days before flying out, Chisholm realised that the bridal gown she had ordered online did not fit her well.

During a casual dinner, she mentioned the sudden emergency to Victoria. Without any hesitation, Victoria offered a beautiful lace cami dress straight from her own personal wardrobe. She explained that it would serve as the perfect 'something borrowed' bridal look for the trip.

Victoria designed a bespoke ivory silk satin slip dress featuring elegant motifs of floral Lyon lace. She selected these classic lace motifs that were cut out and hand-placed onto the dress to create a unique pattern. It was then hand-stitched onto the flowing satin slip.

The famous designer explained that Mel C prefers a clean and minimalist style. The bride wanted a look that is not too fussy or overly complicated, aligning perfectly with her own classic fashion philosophy.

The happy bride shared how special it was to have Victoria guide the creative process to capture her true personality.

Celebrating Her 50s

Walking down the aisle represents a significant and beautiful personal milestone for Chisholm. The famous star opened up about experiencing a stunning awakening in her 50s. The singer noted that she now feels completely comfortable in her own skin. She explained that at her mature age, she wants to experience all the wonderful and happy moments that life has to offer. Her 17-year-old daughter, Scarlett, stood by her side during the ceremony. The family celebrated the beautiful new family dynamic they have built together with Chris as a team.

The romantic story began when Dingwall proposed to Chisholm during a relaxing holiday in Mallorca in July 2025. The happy couple first met on an exclusive celebrity dating app in 2023. Since they started dating, the two shared an emotional spark between them. Chisholm had spent decades focusing almost entirely on her music career. She shared that meeting Chris brought a wonderful new perspective on love.

She admitted that she had never grown up dreaming of a massive traditional wedding, but she knew this new relationship was completely right.

The Spice Girls still shared a special bond even after their split as a group

Girl Power Forever

The intimate lakeside event also served as a wonderful reunion for the iconic British pop group. Bandmates Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, and Geri Halliwell-Horner all travelled to Cumbria to support their dear friend on her special day.

Although Victoria Beckham was unfortunately unable to attend the beautiful party due to prior sports commitments in the United States, her creative presence was deeply felt by everyone in the room. The spectacular event proved that the legendary bond between the bandmates remains completely unbreakable after all these years
