Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's reported wedding plans have drawn fresh attention after new images showed ideas that were considered for their reported July 2026 wedding in New York City. The designs included a two-tier carousel and a man-made pond beneath the altar, but neither feature made it into the final setup.

The newly revealed images offer a closer look at the plans for the couple's reported celebration at Madison Square Garden. However, they are design images rather than official photographs of Swift and Kelce exchanging vows, leaving fans waiting for pictures of the couple's wedding day.

A Dreamy Forest Wedding

The original plans showed how Madison Square Garden could be turned into a forest-inspired setting filled with trees, green plants and small lights. The design aimed to create a garden-like space inside the famous sports arena, giving the event a look far removed from its usual setting.

The plans also showed a large aisle leading towards an altar decorated with plants and greenery. The couple's engagement in August 2025 reportedly helped inspire the look, with the garden theme echoing the flowers and plants used in the proposal setting.

However, the final ceremony space did not follow every detail of the first design. The original plan showed a floral arch, while the reported final setup used leaves, vines and other greenery around the altar.

Why the Pond Was Cut

One of the biggest changes involved a planned pond beneath the altar where Swift and Kelce were meant to exchange vows. The design images showed water as part of the scene, adding to the magical forest feel.

The plan was reportedly dropped because of safety concerns and the work needed to build it inside the arena. A source familiar with the planning said the pond's low edges could have made it easy for guests to fall in.

Wedding planner Tara Guérard, who was not involved in the event, also discussed the idea and pointed to the challenges of building and managing a pond inside a large venue. Instead, the team used more plants and shrubs to keep the green theme without adding the same risks.

The $7 Million Carousel

The reception plans also included a two-tier carousel that could have become one of the event's biggest attractions. According to the reported details, the structure was estimated to cost $7 million, while a smaller, single-tier version could still have cost $3.5 million (£2.62 million).

The high price was reportedly one reason the carousel was removed from the plans. Moving such a large structure into the venue would also have created practical problems, making the idea harder to carry out.

Instead, the reported final reception included a large tent with carnival-style games. Guests were said to have options such as mini-golf and cornhole, giving them activities to enjoy during the celebration without the costly carousel.

A Look Inside the Plans

The reported designs also showed a reception area built around a forest theme, with an artificial tree decorated with twinkling lights and a circular bar. Photo booths and games were among the other features planned for guests.

The planning process reportedly began in November 2025, several months after Kelce proposed. The designs suggest the couple considered a range of ideas before deciding which features would work in the venue.

Despite the new details, the images don't show the full wedding day or provide official photos of Swift and Kelce as newlyweds. Fans will have to wait for the couple to share any personal photographs themselves.

For now, the design plans offer a look at the ideas behind the reported celebration, including the features that were changed or removed before the event.
