Miu Miu paired sports bras, running shoes and track pants with crystal embellishments, tailored jackets and eveningwear for its Spring/Summer 2027 collection at Paris Fashion Week.
Miuccia Prada presented the collection, titled Here and Now, at the Palais d'Iéna in Paris on Sunday, 4 October. The show combined pieces found in everyday wardrobes with more formal designs, including tailored suits, shirt dresses and embroidered evening dresses.
Gigi Hadid closed the show in a dark grey sports bra and matching low-slung pleated skirt decorated with crystal embellishments. Running shoes completed the look. Elsewhere, crystal-embellished sports bras appeared with statement skirts, while track pants were paired with blazers and cocktail dresses were styled with sneakers.
Miu Miu Gives Sportswear the Luxury Treatment
Miuccia Prada based the collection on a mixture of sportswear, casual clothing, knitwear, leather and vintage pieces found in contemporary wardrobes. The collection gave familiar clothes a more refined treatment by pairing athletic pieces with tailoring and eveningwear.
Performance jersey was transformed into abbreviated tops worn over and under other garments. Embroidered details appeared on sportswear-shaped pieces, while some athletic bra tops featured crystal embellishments.
The collection also included pleated skirts worn with brightly coloured sneakers, gym shorts and track pants paired with blazers. Checked tailoring appeared alongside athletic footwear, while other looks combined abbreviated tops with tailored pieces. Cocktail dresses were also paired with sneakers.
Gigi Hadid Closes the Show in Sports Bra and Crystal Skirt
Hadid, 31, made her Miu Miu runway debut and closed the Spring/Summer 2027 show in a look that combined sportswear with evening-inspired embellishment. She wore a dark grey sports bra with a low-slung pleated skirt featuring crystal detailing and finished the look with running shoes.
Hadid joined a runway cast that included Olivia Colman, Emma Corrin, Jamie Bell, Louisa Jacobson, Noah Jupe, Ella Bleu Travolta, Katherine Waterston and Liu Wen, among others.
Colman also made her Miu Miu runway debut, appearing in a black leather blazer and knee-length skirt. The show brought established models together with actors and performers in a collection spanning sportswear, tailoring, leather, vintage pieces and eveningwear.
Wrangler and New Balance Join Miu Miu's Runway
Miu Miu also worked with Wrangler and New Balance for its Spring/Summer 2027 collection. Miu Miu Upcycled collaborated with Wrangler on reworked heritage denim. Vintage specialists sourced original examples of archetypal jeans styles from the end of the 20th century, which were then used as the basis for transformed pieces in the collection.
The Wrangler pieces featured crossed lacing, a signature detail of the collection that also appeared on denim, pleated skirts, cocktail dresses and shoes. The Spring/Summer 2027 collection also marked the fifth year of Miu Miu's collaboration with New Balance, with the brands introducing a reconstructed version of the RC150 racing sneaker.
The RC150 takes its name from its lightweight 150-gram design. Miu Miu's version used technical mesh, external loops and contrasting laces loosely knotted near the toe. Its colourways ranged from sophisticated, understated shades to brighter, sports-inspired combinations.
